| | | Fashion stupid, please halp! I just ordered this dress in hopes of wearing it to the three weddings I'll be attending in the next few months:
I have two pairs of pumps, a black patent pair and these:
Will they look okay with the dress? Or should I go with the black pair? Or sandals? TIA! |

| | | I think black sandals with thicker straps would be cute. I don't care for the red pumps with the dress.

| | | I don't like the red with that either.
If I'm being honest, unless they are very casual/gardeny weddings, I think the dress is too casual for a wedding |

| | Pam, one wedding is being held at the resort area at Raystown Lake, so I don't think it's going to be that dressy. Another is my BIL's wedding, and when I asked my future SIL what the dress code is, she didn't give me a straight answer This is what she said: The dress code is the normal dress code for a wedding. A nice dress will be fine. There are all kinds of good sales going on everywhere. The reception will be at a firehall back here. There isn't much around here where we live to choose from.
And the third wedding, I e-mailed the bride a pic of the dress and she's cool with it. She's not much on dressing up, either LOL
Thanks to both of you, I'll look into some other shoes |

| | | I also thought the dress was too casual for a wedding which is why I didn't comment earlier.

| | The dress is casual, but cute and I think you could dress it up some with strappy heels instead of pumps. I personally don't like the red, but silver might be nice, IMO.
If you feel good in what you decide to wear, that's all that really matters. |

| | | I would find white heels. Or nude. Is that okay?
(I feel like this is a test)

| | | ^ Not white, definitely not white. I think nude would look very nice, better than black IMO.

| | I like the black shoes and blue dress combo, it's very retro and chic...but it might not necessarily be appropriate for a wedding. I guess it depends on where you are and how formal it is. I have no concept of these things, haven't been to that many weddings and I always manage to stick out like a sore thumb no matter what!

| | Hey April
Ordinarily I would not suggest trying to match the shoe color with the dress, but I think this time I would go for the closest match you can get. Pumps, heels, straps, but keep it simple. I think a string of pearls would be all I'd do for a necklace. Are any of the same people going to be at these weddings? Not that it matters, but I was trying to think of ways to vary the outfit. Good luck and Have fun

| | Wow! I'm a little slow tonight
Nude is good but make it classy nude. You don't want to outdo the bride. So I also vote to add a pearl necklace.

| | Thanks, everyone! This is the first I've checked the thread in a while.
Lisa, AFAIK, there should be no one at all three weddings except for hubs and myself. First one is my BIL, second is my friend in OH, third is my kinda-cousin. No cross-contamination
So, the general consensus seems to be nude pumps?
Edit: Something like this, maybe?

| | Piperlime *had* a pair, but only in size 10. Think I'm going to get them off shoes.com. Planning on ordering in an 8 1/2 and 9, and sending back what doesn't fit. Piperlime still has them in black, though. Sucks b/c they were only $50 on there, plus 20% off
Edit to ask, what about a clutch or something? Match-ish with shoes or something else?
