ugh....blisters from hell :( So the other night I wore these shoes that rubbed the crap out of my feet...and now I have several blisters from them, especially on my left foot. One of them popped before I could even do anything about it and it's all raw and gross...and it's making me walk funny because it hurts to put weight on the inside of my foot (the blister is on the inner side of the ball of my foot, the widest part that always rubs against shoes that don't fit). I had a bandaid on it for most of yesterday but I figured it needed some air so I haven't had anything on it for a few hours. It's looking like it's starting to seal up but it still hurts if i flex my toes or walk normally. ugghhhh...that's the last time I wear those damned shoes :cry Is there anything else I can do for this blister? I want to work out tomorrow bc I haven't been to the gym all weekend, but I'm afraid of how much my feet will hurt when I put gym shoes on them! :( lksdlfkdjfkjgf |
post about it on af |
pianochica, this is a sign from your body to take it easy. No more hard partaying in nice jeans and uncomfortable shoes. Seriously, start slowing down on the partying. You are in grad school now!:woohoo Just keep a band-aid on it when you are wearing shoes. |
Yes ^ And wear flip-flops :D |
Hey girly - let the foot BREATHE - even put a cool fan on it (that always works for me)...no ointment ever helped my blisters unfortunately I usually jsut get them from the backs of shoes, especially sneakers. I dont know if you should hit the gym tomorrow - your feet will swell during the day, anyhow, so dont put added stress on it! Give it a few days, put a bandaid on it tomorrow and it should be fine real soon! And wear aerosoles when you are going out and walking a lto hehe - they may not be the "cutest" shoes but they are damn comfortable! |
next time use this: https://www.bandaid.com/couponBlisterBlock.jsp i dont wear strappy/uncomfortable shoes without it anymore. no more blisters! :D |
^^ohh i have that stuff and i love it when i'm trying to break in my havaianas! unfortunately I didn't think to put it on last weekend...these were just some innocent-looking peep toe flats, just apparently not wide enough :( |
I would let them air out when you're sleeping. Air is the best way to get blistered to heal up faster. Put a band aid on it when you're at the gym. |
After my friends and I walked the Bruce Trail for 5 days (rocks, rocks, rocks, some roads, lotsa forest, rocks...) I had a couple nasty blisters. I'm a Diabetic, which means I don't heal very well, especially on my extremities. One of my friends put this Buy Band-Aid Advanced Healing Blister, Cushions Online at drugstore.com on my baby toe, and told me to keep it on until the band-aid fell off, in the shower and everything - it dried out the blister, or cushioned it, or something, but it healed beautifully. I was worried about it cutting the circulation off, but it wasn't on tight enough to cause damage. I hope your feet feel better soon! Blisters suck. |
I'm sorry, I know how you feel, but my blisters don't even have like a bubble or what not. It's like a weird extra patch of skin almost? ITA, with everyone, let it breathe. wear a bandaid when you're out. |

:love:love:love:love:love:love Geebs I don't ever think I have loved you more. And PC, get some blister block! I get them there, too (because I have a bad habit of buying too small shoes) and it really, really helps. :) You can also definitely put a bandaid on while you work out. |
