Sushimonster180's Raw Denim Adventure

The Monarchy's did not work out as well as i planned. They became way to baggy so i dont know if i will be wearing them anytime soon. But i have picked up some pairs of dry denim to wear instead of them. Tell me what you think of my Esef Sky's and Black Imperial Dukes.
Day 19 3/3/08

I need to update my Monarchy's. I have worn them for a total of 55 days.

Esef Sky's Altered to 31' inseem

Day 105 10/26/08 No pics but i need to update

Imperial Dukes Black

The fit looks a little loose but I guess it all depends on your style. They should still look great in a few months. Make sure you keep us posted on your progress.

Yeah when i got the jeans i didnt realize they would be this big. I have tried on other Monarchy jeans and they were super tight around the thigh. So i was not sure.

The rain will not adversely affect the jeans. Seriously, they're just a pair of jeans, they are meant to be worn, not coddled.

The jeans will never break in satisfactorily if you continue to baby them.

I second what Conifurious says...just wear them as hard as possible. There is no reason to be scared of the rain or snow.

Impatient are we? Within 30 days you should see some fading, depending on how much you wear them.

i guess i am not used to the dry denim thing. And i am also scared that because they are so loose that the fading will take longer. And a little impatient.

Dude, the fading takes a long time on these. I am just noticing a small fade near the bottom of the left leg. Really weird spot, actually. Outside of that... nothing!

Yea, those Monarchy's are going to fade very, very slowly. Not the best testament to the average time required for most raw jeans. Just the same, try and be patient. Easier said than done, but in the end, invariably worth it.

I say keep the stacks...once they settle, it'll look good.

The Skys are already getting a nice wallet fade. Those are going to look great in a few months.

I lost about 15 pounds! So, I gave them a good soak in hot water. They shrunk up a bit but after 3-4 days they stretched out too much. Oh well... I guess I'll have to try some other drys.
