nonfatmilk's UNIQLO dry journal // updated 4-12-11 [~ 1 year 7 months ]

Hey guys, I am currently in NY and decided to take advantage of the Uniqlo store here. Picked up a pair of their dry denim. Here are some pics + fit pics.

Fit Pics

These are 29x32 and they are the slim fit ones (the other style they carry is just regular straight leg). They fit a little snug at the waist. I kinda wanted to size down, but the smallest waist size they carry is 29. So no 28x32 . Does anyone know if these are sanforized or not? What do you guys think? They fit okay?

Thanks guys. As I continue to wear these more, I'll make updates

Uniqlo is sanforized. I like the fit. Though I would sag a bit more personally. Uniqlos are slow to fade unfortunately so don't expect too much.

Thanks. Ya I usually sag my jeans more but these are still kinda snug so I'm waiting for them to loosen up a bit.

Even though you say Uniqlos are slow to fade, they can still turn out lookin good right? I think I remember seeing a pair of Coni's (or maybe it was garymai's) and they looked good.

Been trying to wear these more. Here's like about a week and a half of actual wear?

Nothing too exciting yet . They have stretched out ~ an inch from before. I'll continue to wear and keep you guys posted!

Update 10-15-09!

Still working on these. Been wearing them daily since my last update. It rained like el nino here on Tuesday and I was completely soaked on my way to class. I can notice the indigo fading more and more. They've gotten a lot roomier (obviously than when I first started wearing). When do you guys recommend soaking?

About 2 months
Still going strong! Been wearing them every day pretty much. I wanted to bike in these at the gym yesterday but realized there is a no jeans policy @ our gym . I'm sure it's a rule all gyms have. I'm just sad because I don't have a bike here

OOO wallet fade

Your Uniglo is on the money and looking pretty great. A pitty I can't get them ordered&shipped online overhere. I would like to get my hands on the 21oz and wear the s..t out of them...

Haven't updated this with pics in awhile. It's been raining but supposed to be somewhat sunny on Thursday. I will try to snap a couple pics. Jeans definitely have been fading some more.

lookin good man... I'd keep wearing them though, skip the soak and go as long as you possibly can then wash them on warm. for now, spray them with febreeze, air them out (outside if you can) and keep pushing through!

Thanks! .

The reason for me wanting to do a soak is not because they smell awful, but more because they have stretched out quite a bit. I will try to continue to wear without any soaks, and see how it goes.

The jean still looks really good. IMO, don't need soak.

I've been stepping on the hem of the right leg . I hate wearing down the hems, but for some reason the right one tends to drag, while the left one doesn't at all. Really weird! Anyone else super anal about damaged hems? I guess there is really nothing I can do.

in your first post at first glance I thought the DGK was DICK at first, so that it said DICK ALL DAY on the back of your shirt. That would probably be greatest shirt ever if it did.

Jeans are looking good! Keep going, if they don't fit you can try a hot soak but I'm not sure how much they'll shrink. Probably best off just wearing a belt.

Yeah, well I'm not really anal about it, but I'm annoyed that only my right hem tends to drag for my levi's 537 when I'm wearing converse.
Anyways, looks good, I like that pocket cut too.

at ~5 months. I think I'm going to do a hot soak in a month just to get them to fit better/clean up a bit.
