| | | LUVGUN's Raw TR's ~ Updated Dec 19, 2009 OK. So, I have pretty much given up on those darn Monarchy raw jeans. I beat the hell out of them and.... nothing!
So, I found these guys hanging around in my closet and figured I'd give them a try. These are the very first True Religion jeans I ever bought. But, I only wore them once before retiring them. (I think it might have something to do with the big embroidered pocket). But, I'm over that now.
So, here is what they looked like after one day of wear. (July 25, 2007)
1 Month (Jan 7, 2009)
2 Months (Feb 7, 2009)
4 Months (Apr 6, 2009)
It had been a while since I'd worn these. But now I am able to wear them to work everyday. So, that's exactly what I'm doing.

So, I broke down and washed them. It's been about a year, wearing them on and off.

| | | Those look like raw to me. They made a bunch of raw w/ the embroidered back pockets. I sold a few myself a few years ago and for sure they were raw. They had a different back pocket embroidery on them but I am pretty sure they made em in raw w/ a few designs. |

| | I must be mistaken. I thought the only raw TRs made had plain back pockets. Good luck with your jeans - hope they turn out great |

| | | If you're referring to the style they're the Billy straight leg cut. I'm unaware of the name of that particular embroidered pocket though.

| | | quick question about the Monarchys sorry to go off topic, but im looking to get some raw monarchys, but was wondering if you could help me out w/ the sizing/shrinkage. They say the size 36 (im usually 36) has a 39 inch waist. do they shrink 3 inches when washed, or should i go down to a size 33?
Also you weren't able to distress them at all? so the dye doesn't come out even in a hot wash?
Thanks. hope this doesn't bring back bad memories |

| | | No worries.
They are super tough to break. I probably put a good 4 months in to them and I really don't see much of a difference at all. I will post some updated pics of them for you. (In the my Monarchy Raw thread).
As for size... they run quite big. I gave them a hot soak and they didn't shrink much at all. They did release a bit of indigo, though. Not a lot (I kept the movement to a minimum) but the water was definitely blue when I took them out.
I liked wearing them and got a lot of compliments on them, but they are just so damn tough! |

| | | Very cool, I'm down with the embroidery. Wish more companies would try stuff like this, to be honest. I like having plain jeans, but I like having jeans that stand out a bit too. Not many companies seem to make the latter without diving headfirst into the sea of gaudy despair.
