hey im wondering if anyone can tell me a little about levi's in salvage (the raw stiffer denim) im looking for a dark dark indigo blue pair that high quality and premium, nothing u can buy from macys or some store like that, im willing to spend 100-160 on a really good pair...im looking for a loose fit/ baggy style tho, im considering some design styles from japan even....somthin like 501's ,maybe....can anyone help me figure out some style (name and numbers) and possibly where i could buy them from,

I can start you off on the right foot by telling you that "Selvage" has nothing to do with the stiffness of the denim nor does it nessesarily suggest that it is dry. Selvage merely means that, when produced on the shuttle loom, the selvage end of the denim is closed as apposed to cut. It has nothing to do with the quality of the actual denim so much in that it is an expensive process to go about and hence, the jeans made with selvage ends tend to be more expensive.
