Is this really "dry" or not?

Are these actual dry denim jeans? I honestly cannot tell, even though it was described as such, I am a bit skeptical, and here is why:

Now all the other Dry denim companies I know of encourage you to eventually machine wash your jeans when "the time is right" (6 months usually?). So why on earth would they insist on dry cleaning only?

The company is listed as: AG Adirano Goldschmied.

Never heard of it. Anyone have an idea?

not sure if those are dry or not.

AG is a pretty well known brand. They make some great jeans and the material they use is great.

Just a quick history lesson Adriano Goldschmied and Renzo Rosso founded Diesel together in 1978.

those jeans might be coated with some sort of resin that will keep them dark. either way, they would fade eventually, as all jeans tend to lose indigo with time.
as for dry cleaning only - im pretty sure you could machine wash them with no problems. dry cleaning is just an easy way to keep them dark and crisp (as the tag indicates). they might shrink a bit, though, with machine washing. i think they suggest dry cleaning because AG falls under the designer denim category, and therefore their target consumer probably wouldnt care for the concept of dry jeans, and would, instead, prefer to keep them looking dark and raw. it all depends on if you want them to fade with time or if you want them to stay nice and dark.
