GAP Selvedge

This is my second go around with these. The first pair I ordered had a defect so I returned them at the store....which did not have any replacements. I waited till there was another sale (which GAP always runs now) and ordered another pair. I think with tax and all that they were like 45....so fairly cheap.

I sized down 2......tight but manageable. I'm worried that I got them too short....you other guys seem to have massive stacks at the feet whereas I have minimal. I got length 32...I'm guessing 34 would be better?

I can't wear jeans at work so I plan on breaking them in quicker by running on my treadmill in them (to the point where I'm just about to break a sweat).

Due to infrequent wear it will take forever for me to see any changes...but we'll see.

Looks like a pretty good fit and will get better once the denim settles down. The length is all personal preference. FH and Samurai come with a huge inseam (38-40) pre soak so you lose a few inches there. Stacks are all preference though. I like em and some don't (Ranchu). Some people even prefer to cuff the jeans instead of stacks or straight. Whatever you like man. I would be surprised if these weren't sanforised so the inseam won't shrink a whole hell of a lot when soaked/washed. Please don't wear these on a treadmill just to break them in faster. Let them just wear naturally! That's the point!

I'm on mile 2 as I'm typing this. Hahaha. Ok I'll stop. Thanks for the feedback about the stacks. I guess I prefer the non massive stack non cuffed look.

Perfect fit imo. I think the length is perfect. Too much stacking is ugly.

I bet a quick run would give you almost as much wear for you as a good day of sitting around. I'll be curious to see how they look!

Hate to tell you this now, but I think the latest run of Gap selvage is treated not to fade or something. Do you know what year those were made?

I'm getting ever so slight wallet fade in mine. I figure can't do much about it now that I bought them. Either I get some good fades or I have a pair of super dark dressier jeans. For 45 bucks I can't lose.

They are definitely slow to fade, but do eventually. I wear mine infrequently these days but have had them for over a year, and all I've got to show is some slightly bright blue on wallet, a couple seams, and a couple creases.
