Just got my 1st pair & I'm a bit nervous!

Just received my 1st pair of Nudies - Super Slim Kims Dry Indigo (2% lycra). Went up a size per the retailer's advice & they fit fabulous. I actually love the way they look & fit right now so I can't imagine how much I'd love them once they get their creases. Sounds like a bit of work to maintain them, and I'm very nervous about the no wash thing. (I actually wash all my jeans after 1 day of wear, so going 2 days without washing is going to be an incredible challenge). If I can't do the no wash thing, what will become of them? Will I wreck them, or will they just fade.....can the denim handle multiple washes??? It's all quite fascinating. Anyone know how long has dry denim been around (I saw thread on the 4 year pair last night).....& just wondering why I haven't heard of dry denim before, has it suddenly become fashionable. Noticed also that Ksubi/Tsubi (which has been one of my favourite brands for many years) is now doing a Dry Lean Bean which looks totally fabulous!

usually people do the no wash thing to get the highest amount of contrast. also if they fit perfect now, you might want to return them and get a size lower since they will stretch out.

dry denim has been out since denim jeans started. only just recently have they started to become more fashionable or mainstream.

I was thinking maybe to get a smaller size after reading all about dry denim here last night, but I can't get it with a 34" length (which I need). I got the Sz 26 & the smallest size they have is a Sz 25 (but with a 32" length).
Another option would be to swap for some Tight Long Johns in Dry Indigo - these look amazing too (they look skinnier in the leg). Anyway, due to limited options, I'll keep the pair I've got.

Azia - I got these locally (I'm in Sydney, Australia) from an online store called
mycatwalk.com.au which sells some very cool stuff.

Do you mind taking measurements on the size 26? I've wondered what size I need in these.
If you could take the waist, hip, and thigh, that would be AWESOME.

Holy crap that's ridiculous. The SSK drys are $174. They're about $275 on other sites and $300+ in Canada.

mm I don't think they are 300+ in canada. I think they maybe around $200ish Canadian dollars plus taxes here. I found them for $165US on azaleaonline.com. Maybe you found a washed pair or something else cause those are usually more expensive than the dry pairs.

Hi Azia

Happy to take the measurements for you:
waist (with dip) - 13.25"
waist (alligned) - 13.75"
hip (through bottom of crotch) - 17"
thigh - 7.75"

I'm amazed if any jeans are cheaper in Australia. Can understand for Tsubi & Sass & Bide, but any US or o/s jeans are usually so over the top expensive that I just wait 'til they appear on ebay.

Wow, I'd definitely need a 27, I'd burst those at the seams with my thighs!

If you have trouble not washing your jeans you can spray Fabreeze on them to freshen them up. Definitely hold off on washing, if you wash to early you won't get the nice creases and honey combs.
