Flat Heads!

I just bought a pair of "lightly used" Flat Head 3001's from a guy on StyleForum. I have been wanting a pair for so long. I am praying that they fit well and that they are in as good of condition as he says they are.

Only $125. They look pretty good in the pics. I'm so excited to get them. These have been the one pair I have wanted the most ever since I learned about raw denim.

It's 'The Flat Head'

Congratz on the purchase...it's a nice denim which fades fairly fast.

WOW thats A NICE PRICE. even if you don't fit in them, you could probably sell them for more than what you paid for

holy hell, how much do Flat Heads stretch? These are 34's and I can barely get them on? I wear 32 and 33 Nudies and 31 APCs. Why are these so god damn tight?

Both my 710's and 5110VXJ's were like that when I first got them but they stretched. My FH 3008's did too (perhaps a little too much...). Give it a little time.

Mine are a 34 as well and i'm a TTS 32. I have worn them about 30 times and they haven't stretched dramatically for me which i'm happy about.

Yeah I went TTS on my FH's but am wondering if I should have sized down (not that I could have; the 3008 cut was hard to find to begin with).

That's strange how they stretched so much for you. I feel every time I put mine one they feel close to the first time I wore them.

I have been wearing them for 2 hours and they have stretched out to be much more comfortable everywhere except the waist. It's fine when standing but still a bit tight when sitting. If I dunk the waist band in (cool? warm? hot?) water and then put them back on (still wet) will that stretch them out any more than just continuing to wear them as I am right now?

You can, but honestly I'd give them a couple days if you haven't already. Besides, walking around with a wet waist can't be that comfortable.

Really, don't hem them? These are probably 5 inches too long. I am only a 30 inch inseam.

Thanks, Jeff

Good job on the fit! IMO don't hem, the stacks are fine on those. My 710's are probably 3-5 inches too long also but look fine with the right pair of boots/shoes that allow them to sit close to your leg since the hem is so narrow. Hope your experience with TFH is as great as mine.
