My friends: Zack is wearing Crate denim and Sonja is in APC New Standards. I love the huge cuff (showing off the selvage). |

| | Wow that's an amazing picture. Who took it?! Then angle, the people in the background, the chandelier, and the ceiling-wall is just perfect! (My boyfriend's really into designing so I've been forced to look at a million photographs and layouts)
By the way your friends are gorgeous too I love her jeans! This looks like it should be a magazine spread. (in my opinion anyway )

| | | Maiden Japan, do you work for context? Some guy named Ryan added me on myspace that works for context.
APC NS on that girl looks fantastic and I assume the guy is wearing Sallys?

| | | Hey advan031,
I opened Context a little over a year ago with the help of my friends Sam and his brother Ben. Zack is wearing Crate's James III. Sonja looks great in anything. Check the little guy off to the right. He's fixated on the Creative Recreation shoes.

| | I think they look nice on her, except the huge cuff is kinda throwing me off. Looks like your friend's shoes are going to be stained with indigo also |

| | | The APC New Standard has a 7'' rise. The listing on contextclothing.com has been corrected. She rocked the big cuff to a fashion party focusing on selvage denim. She since has had them hemmed. Zack's shoes are indeed turning a bit blue.

Is 25 your normal size? APC's sizing is so messed up that you have to size down 2 or 3 from your normal size. And I believe all APC denim has a 34 or 35" inseam.
Correct me if I'm wrong Maiden Japan

Correct me if I'm wrong Maiden Japan | Yeah, that is my normal size. So... does this mean no APC jeans for me? |

| | | New Standards run very long. A 25 waist will have a 33'' inseam. Most people with 25'' waists will get them hemmed. Hemming is easy on dry denim, as opposed to distressed denim which you will need to have the original hem reattached. APC is vanity sized meaning you need to size down one size to start. In addition, APC dry selvage has been known to stretch quite a bit. I'm a snug 30 waist, and I wear a 29 New Standard. New Standards start at 25.

What to do guys, what to doooo??
Edit: I'm not too worried about the inseam, just mainly worried about the waist being too big. |

| | I was actually looking at a pair that had a lustre finish in a grey-blue wash. Not sure exactly what style but I've been eyeing those for a while. Now I think I might want to try APC dry denim instead. Although I, too am a little worried about the waist size. I'm a true 25 in Sevens. I guess I really do have to try them on in store first. |

| | ^ darn it, i went to Holt Renfrew today and the only pair they had were on sale for $69 but a size 28. So i didn't get to try them on. I might drop by another boutique nearby in a few days (got a cold right now. grr) and I do, I'll let you know. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
