if you don't want the inseam to shrink up on you, i would air dry them. might not hurt to stetch the inseam out while they are still damp, too.

Last time i tried stretching inseam did not turn out good

I'll just air dry them.

This will be first wash since Feb., but i have soaked them once before.

Should I got any alteration shop to my dry denim hemmed?

I am beginning to wear my Esef and noticed that they are bit long causing the stacking to look weird IMO. The denim bunches up at the bottom where parts of it sticks outward instead of sideways if that makes any sense.

Would hemming the length fix the problem? More of an aesthetic issue.

If you think the stacks look ugly, manually fix them so they look more aesthetically pleasing. Mist with a water bottle, and then stack it so it looks better, and then let it dry. The starch in the jeans will keep the stacks the way you set them.

So I plan on getting my first pair of nudies , was wondering on what size I should get.I'm looking at getting Nudie Jeans Straight Sven , I wear 29-30 for SFAM and TR.I also prefer relaxed jeans where I have room to breathe down , what are my options here and how much leaking can I expect to see from wearing em .I always wear white shoes and white shirts.Tips for a novice getting into the RAW denim

In my experience, SFAM runs about 2 inches larger than tagged size. (e.g. A size 30 has a 32 inch waist). Nudies on the other hand run about 0.5 inches larger than tagged size (e.g. a size 30 has a 30.5 inch waist). However, with raw denim, there is a significant amount of stretch. Nudies will stretch 1.5-2 inches in the waist. After 30 wears, a size 30 will be about 32 - 32.5 inches in the waist.

Long story short, go with your regular size, or down 1 for a snug fit.

As for "leaking", I think you mean bleeding. With my Nudies, I never had an issue with bleeding. I had a little bit come off on my shoes every now and then, but nothing significant. As long as you keep them dry, it should stay that way.

Thanks for the reply.I wear 7FAM 30 relaxed and just measured the waist it's about 31.5 and my waist line is 29.5.I also wear belts with my jeans , So generally speaking you think it would be better if I went with a 30-31?

Dry pair of Nudie!

The person wearing those jeans are a little too tight for my comfort , I would like a slightly more roomier pair.If that helps a little~

Also is this pair Raw denim?

If that's too tight for you, and you're still trying to stick with Nudies, try Big Benght (sp). If you decide to go with Straight Sven, go with the 30 then. While on one hand, finding the right size SS for you will be hard because its a discontinued model, lots of places should have their SS stock on sale now.

And no, the pair you linked on Revolve is not raw. You can see the pre faded thighs and whiskers...

Personally, I am not fond of the low Yoke on SS at all, I prefer Average Joe a lot more and find they are quite roomy.

The more you wear your Raw jeans before the initial wash, the better. If you wear them to bed, it can only be beneficial... as long as you don't pee the bed.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get my first pair of raw denim , Nudie Slim Jim's or Straight Sven's but I'm unsure of sizing, could you guys advise me on a size with the stretch in mind?

I normally wear

TR Bobby 28
WR 28
7FAM 29
Diesel Farco 29/30
R&R 30
Guess 30
Genetic 30

They look all over the place but basically 15" unaligned, 15.5" aligned.

Also, what is the difference between a SJ Broken Twill and SJ Dry Japan?

TIA!!

I would go for a 29, or a 28 for a tighter fit.

The SJDJ fades faster and is an "electric" blue.

Anyone know if Grim Tim is tighter in the waist than Slim Jim?

I have a pair of Slim Jim that are pretty loose in waist 31".
Figuring I would go down to a 30" on Grim Tim.

TIA

Slim Jim vs Grim Tim

Grim Tim Black Selvedge - $230.00 : Self Edge : Japanese Selvedge Denim

EDIT:

Bought them (107$)... Hope they fit and are not too skinny.

newb here. i'm gonna get the rescue's but my legs are short. I'm going to do an initial soak and hang so i can get a smaller inseam. The jeans will still stretch after the first soak right? so should I get it true to size or should i still size down?

The inseam shrink will be negligible (0.75 inches or less). The denim is sanforized so it does not need to be soaked before wear. If you need a shorter inseam, just hem them. And yes, the jeans stretch a great deal. Size down at least 2. I've heard of people sizing down up to 4, but I wouldn't recommend that.

What do you guys think about me hemming my Nudies when they come in the mail?I got 30x34 , and I prefer not to fold my bottom. So I'm just wondering if hemming Nudies are any different compared to prewashed jeans.Or should I just let them drag on the floor ? lol

Depends on which cut you got. Bootct - hem. Straight or tapered - w/e you prefer.

Got my Grim Tim Dry black Selvage .... it is button up, not zip up

Having hard time buttoning up the last rivet. I have a muffin top when sitting down.

It also does have a smell to it, the dye I am guessing. Any idea how to get rid of it? Smells like burnt wood/charcoal.

No pics yet.

I am clueless as to how I got into my first pairs of dry denim so easily (SJDJ size 31x34). These are size 30x34, and if anything, I weigh less than I did 9 months.

EDIT:
Grim Tim Dry Black Selvage - Page 19 - MyNudies.com - Dry, Selvage & Nudie Jeans Forum

I read up on the site. Seems like it may be alright that I sized down....given that I wear these consistently to stretch them out. I really wanted some Imperial dry black, but at the price I paid for these GTDBS, I am content. AND its selvage, a +1?

OT: This tight fit will just motivate me to start running again
