Does anyone know if Jean Shop dry denim is sanforized?
I need to hem mine if they aren't going to shrink up, inseam is an inch too long for me to wear with heels and they are slim bootcuts, so stacking looks kinda dumb, esp. with flats.
I them though, it's such a nice slouchy fit compared to my GS & Skulls.

I'm pretty certain Jean Shop is sanforized. Didn't find anything on SuFu or in the description Context provides, so I sent them an email. They've been pretty good at getting back, so I'll probably hear by tomorrow.

So I'm looking to buy a pair of Flat Head F380's, but I'm wondering about the size I should get. Normally I wear a 34 in Diesel, is there anyone who can recommend me a size in the Flat Heads? I'm thinking 36 but I'm a little unsure. Also, are the waist measurements they give taken aligned or unaligned?

I sized up two from my diesel size for my 310's but since the 380's are cut a little fuller you might be able to get by sizing up one, however if my memory serves me right they don't make large odd sizes so the 36 will def be the safe bet. As for the waist measurement it will vary by shop but it's a lot easier to shrink/stretch the waist so I'd go by the thigh measurements since that's usually the limiting factor for flat heads... best of luck to you, the denim is amazing, enjoy

Pretty much all places that sell dry denim, when they give the waist measurement/2, it'll be aligned. I've never seen a place give unaligned measurements.

You don't have to wait for Self Edge to get them in. You could always proxy from Japan. It would probably be cheaper too.

From my understanding, inseams will shrink when you wash them. I'm around a 30" inseam... should I buy my RRDG in 32 inseam then or would 30 be fine.

With the bootcut of the RR, I wouldn't necessarily recommend trying to stack with the 32". And when they shrink in the wash, you can stretch it out.

Actually...I don't know. Now that I think about it...I had a Nudie Bootcut Ola that was a 32 inseam supposedly...but it was basically perfect when I normally wear a 29/30 inseam...so maybe you should get more input from people who've actually owned the RR, lol.

I went for the 32 inseam. It fits like a 30 inseam.

Anyone with a cuff have problems with the erosion of the fold? that crease is really starting to get holes in it all around the hem. i would expect it in the back, but i have it on the sides and in front too. i guess i could just get some denim and have it sewn all the way around to reinforce?

^ Your only other option at that point would be to hem with originals?

Somehow I am guessing this is sacrilege in the dry denim world

yeah, i thought of that, too. i just don't know how they will fit hemmed. i'm afraid it could mess up my stacking...they are slightly bootcut so not much...but there is some stacking. i'll ride it out. if it gets a lot worse, i guess i won't have much choice.

What is considered a "normal" temperature for soaking unsanforized dry denim? If you soak it in hotter water will it shrink even more, and can you estimate how much extra shrinkage you could get?

I'm going to get a pair of Flat Head F380's, but they only have them in a 38. I can't find 36's anywhere but if I can soak the 38's really hot and get them to shrink to my size, I'll go with those
