| | | Is Muscle Milk dangerous to drink? I searched a website called t-nation.com that talks about a dangerous chemical that is put into it. So was wondering if it is true? |

| | | It's not dangerous. Wouldn't be so popular if it was, would it? I'm gonna start taking it next month, I'll let you know first hand ;-) |

| | | well the thing is I've already been taking it for like about a week and found this article that it can cause cardiovascular disease and affect like brain neurons or something but after taking it I felt a little weird and had pains in my heart areas sorta like a heart attack and after that I'm like forget this I don't think the stuff agrees with my body. So I mean these articles might not be totally true but I rather not risk it. I'm just going to stick to eating healthy and just lifting that is the best way without worrying about a supplement having bad sideffects. Or maybe I'll just take a natural whey protein with that's all in it just protein and no other shit. |

| | Cardiovascular disease is a hardening and narrowing of the arteries around the heart, and would take much, much longer than a week to develop, even if you were hooked up to an IV of trans fats and cholesterol. So whatever you felt was most likely not related to the supplement...
I noticed you seem to have a few questions about body-building type stuff...you might have more luck at a forum specifically for that than here. Just googling for "muscle milk" brought up a post discussing that tnation article here: Open your eyes the dangers of Muscle milk - Forums.

| | i'm allergic to milk protein so I've definitely never tried this stuff...but I'm sure we would have heard about it if it caused heart attacks.
I'd be careful before taking up any supplement, though--as you said, supplements don't always agree with everyone's bodies. |

| | ew wtf, Muscle Milk??
I assume that it's some sort of protein supplement.
Is there some sort of correlation between PD and body building in this society?

| | Who drinks this crap anyways? There are far better options out there for much cheaper. Although, after reading that article, I now wouldn't even take this crap if it was free.

| | I personally like to buy all my supplement needs from: True Protein | High Quality Nutrition and Protein Supplements
I find their prices are very reasonable and their customer service is fantastic.
I used to use ON as pacosdad suggested, but when their prices went up, I decided to find a better source. |

| | | as said before, muscle milk isnt dangerous, its just much much more fatty than whey protein. it does have vitamins and other nutrients in it though that whey protein doesnt have.
i like mm more simply because it is the only protein suppy that actually tastes decent. |

| | | I got this Jay Robb's Protein Whey 100% from like Whole Foods and it seems to be pretty good because it's all natural without sugar made from stevia and has a list of essential amino acids. |

I knew you were smarter than to subscribe to the theory of "everyone does it so it must be good".

| | | I third the optimum nutrition 100%. It seems to be the most basic, relatively cheap stuff.
I don't know if I buy that stuff about the muscle milk, tho.
Also, on the ephedra thing, it wasn't a huge deal, the problem was people were taking too much, with pre-existing heart conditions, and not drinking enough water. |
