Advice needed on vegan matter

Ok so since reading this book about a week ago called skinny cow, ive totaly changed my look on meat and dairy. Meat i can live withought but its the dairy im having issues with. Ive been using soya milk for a few days and its fine but find it has quiet a bitter after taste. Does any one have any surgestions on a better tasting non dairy milk? something sweeter? I love my cups of tea so need to find something nice so i can still enjoy it. BTW im totaly feeling alot better in myself since giving up the cows milk and cheese ....

Yeah the dairy is way harder to give up than meat! Try vanilla soy milk.

have you tried any sweetened or flavoured soy milks?
those will taste a lot better than regular soymilk

Oooohhh..my son really loves the Vanilla Silk Soy Milk... But I agree with you Beanie121...I can live without meat...and think that is why I am losing weight...but I don't want to lose weight because then I have to sell my clothes...and I refuse to sell my TR Sunshines!

Rice milk sucks! It is super runny like water, or at least the kind I got is. I'm back on the soy milk, although thankfully I do not mind regular soy milk in my cereal whatsoever.

I'm eating tons of salads and veggies and fruits but I swear I'm gaining weight, wtf! Seriously!!!

I love rice milk! You just have to get the correct kind, and shake the hell out
of it before you pour!

I like Rice Dream in vanilla and chocolate- it has the consistency and mouth feel of skim milk.

Beanie- i'm right there with you in the dairy department, i gave up 99% of it when i was a younger teen due to health issues. even now, if i eat too much (as in more than 1 serving per week) my ears start itching and i get all clogged up.

i heard the chocolate soy milk is pretty good, the chocolate covers up the after taste. i tried plain soymilk, it was awful!

congrats to you for becoming vegan . i wish i could do it. i can't even become a regular veg because i'm too picky & can't get enough protein and end up eating wayyyy too many carbs. i don't eat much meat though...

I drank the vanilla and chocolate for a while, and that got me used to the taste of the soy itself and I began drinking regular. Or maybe try adding sugar or some type of sweetener to the regular or something?

Congrats on going vegan! I was a vegetarian for five years and vegan on and off throughout that...I had to stop a few years ago because my iron got super low so make sure you take supplements every once in a while I would love to start again, maybe someday

Try Silk, it is smoother than other brands IMO. I prefer the chocolate but they have vanilla and regular among other flavors.

I'm lactose intolerant and basically live on rice dream- it's sooo good! It is thinner than soy milk, which I actually like because back in the day when I did drink milk I hated anything thicker than skim.

Welcome to www.soyatoo.com - the home of the first whippable soy cream

Beanie, this is the best I ever had in my tea. It's better than any dairy product, it tastes unbelievably good! I use either the whipped from the can, or unwhipped. Both are sooo good!

I'll cast another vote for the Silk flavored soymilk. I'm mildly allergic to dairy (actually about 25% of the population is, sometimes without knowing it...and don't get me started on the absurdity of drinking that which is meant for baby cows...) and soy is the closest thing...I do like rice dream as well.

I can't get anything but alpro here in the supermarket either.
Mail soyatoo to see if it's available in the UK! I'm tempted to ship you a package.

Edit: soyatoo - Google-Suche
