Same diet, but gaining weight?

My new years resolution this year was to finally start a diet and workout routine. It finally stuck this year, and I lost 50 pounds since the beginning of the year. I have stuck to the same diet for the last 8 months while slowly adding more calories every few weeks. I run 4-5 miles a day as well. I went on a couple trips over the last month, and was pretty good about sticking close to my diet and got my workouts in as often as I could.

Now the problem, I have been home for two weeks, and it seems that I am on a steady weight gain! My clothes are fitting tighter now, and I can see that I am puffing up again. I have not changed a thing as I am still watching what I eat and exercising daily.

Anyone have any idea what in the world could be going on?! It's just really frustrating as I worked so hard to get to where I am now and I have gained 5 pounds in the last two weeks! Thanks!

you either are not burning as many calories during your workouts or your diet has suffered. both of these could be the result of the break in your routine caused by the trips.

calories in - calories out = weight gain/loss

i should write a book about this equation

there is also the minuscule chance that you have developed a metabolic disorder this month.

Start a cardio workout plan and take protein diet to lose the weight and maintain the muscles at the same time.
You can also do some weight workout along with cardio workout plan for the muscles recovery.

I think you should take low fat and carbs in your diet. It is most important to lose weight. But with that you should also drink green tea, It's boost your metabolism and helps to burn extra fat. With diet you must take some exercise and in exercise, I think cycling and swimming are best option.

They might seem obvious, but are you weighing yourself at the same time/scale everyday? I know pre and post workout, the weight difference is 2.5 pounds for me (which is mostly water weight). I run 3-5 miles daily.

And yes, as someone already mentioned you aren't burning as much as you're eating. You might want to count calories when you're eating perhaps? Also, are you eating healthy? What's your diet consist of and how often are you eating?

That happens sometimes mate the normal reason behind that is the lack of physical activities. You eat more then you burn and you start looking overweight with some time then you gotta work hard for losing it,So burn the calories according to what you eat walking is a very good option.

Hi...!
Diet and exercise mostly depends on the physical condition, we should must change diet and exercise plan according to current condition. I think you should change your diet plan and the way of exercise.
