If you compare the first pic on this thread to the pic of the 772's you posted, there are a number differences that you can use to seperate the two:
* Back Pockets, usually the biggest give away. The distressing on the fake pair is uneven and messy looking. Also, the contrasting "strip" on the top part of the pockets is way too thin. The "V" design should be a goldish colour and not orange, but that could be due to the lighting
* Shape - The "Zathan" cut is fairly square around the thigh and waist area, purely to maintain the slim, arse hugging look. If you look at the fake pair, they kind of balloon out at the waist.
* Denim quality - If you look at the real pair, eventhough there are slight variations in 772 washes over the past seasons, they are always a fairly consistent rich blue denim, which always look thick and durable. The fake ones posted look shoddy and at anytime, seem to appear they will fall apart.
* Fading and Whiskering - You cant always go by this method, but if you look closely at the crotch area of the fake jean, the horizontal "whiskering" is very narrow and looks like it was done using a ruler. Real 772's are uneven and differ in diameter and blends in with the fading down the leg properly.
