My BF got a second pair of Zathan 764s (because they were on sale for $74.99 CDN, he couldn't resist) and he wants to keep the rusting on this pair more. Does he wash with vinegar? Just once or every time? I know there's tips for keeping the dirt on but I can't remember. Help, please?

I replied to this on the other site, but I wash Erik's 796 inside out with Woolite Dark and on gentle, and they haven't lost any rust that I can see.
