a good starter pair

I am interested in finding a pair of diesels for my man. He isn't into designer denim...but I figure with a really great pair he just may change his mind. I know a lot of guys love diesel so I thought I might try them with him and see how it goes.

I don't want to spend a whole lot of money though. If ya'll could just point me in a direction of what style/cut is appealing to most people and what I could possibly find on ebay for a great deal that would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance!

oh, and nothing too flashy either. Something pretty basic would be good for him.

imo the 832 wash is pretty basic, lightweight and perfect for summer....I would try finding something in that wash. The only two cuts I know have the 832 wash (for a fact) are Zafs and Zathans (flare and bootcut respectively)

Don't forget the Clerby 832 (flared)!

Start out with a pair of Zathans. though expect to pay atleast $100 for any pair of semi popular Diesel from a past season.

ok thanks guys. I think bootcut would probably be best for him. Not sure about the cut though maybe regular or relaxed.

Can you drag him to your nearest Nordstrom (or any store that carries Diesel) and make him try on a few pairs?

I think a pair of Zathans would be a good starter.

how about the diesel shazor? The fit is regular-slim, they have a bootcut, and the rise is low, but not that low. The Shazor 70K might be something that interests you if you want something fairly basic.

If by any chance your guy wears a 31x34 (these are a 30, but stretch), you should buy these right now...lol. They usually go for at least twice this price. Shazor 60B:
