No, those are not an "old, outdated style". You can check the data code on the pair and you will see what year it is from.
Zathan basically fit the same from pair to pair but different pairs might run differently. Measurements can vary from pair to pair, fabric, wash and season etc. Some might have more or less give in the material etc... Best thing to do is compare the actual measurements to a pair that fits you good. Although some of your jeans might be size XX, it doesn't mean all of your jeans will be size XX.
