Cleaning Coach bag?

I just bought this white hobo from yesino:
http://www.authenticforum.com/showthread.php?t=186

And sure enough, my first day wearing it I spill a little drop of salsa on it. Any suggestions on how I should clean it? I'm afraid to use any cleaners in the event it ruins the fabric...

sometimes the people at the coach store will clean. I know that they usually only do repairs, but maybe you could get them to clean it. I would have it professionally cleaned, IMO.

ooh, cool, do you think they'll do it even without a receipt? Sorta like Tiffany?

I wonder if they'll just have me try to buy one of their cleaners in the store...oh well, knowing how clumsy I am I should do it anyway...

I bought the black one from yesino and mine came with some ball point pen ink on the cloth, any idea how to remove them?

Depending on the material, you can clean a Coach bag with a Mr Clean magic eraser or a Shout wipe. Hope this helps!

Haha yeah sorry I was on about 2 hours of sleep and I assumed that since the bag I bought from yesino was machine washable, all the bags she was selling were too....? I have no idea what I was thinking

Yeah. My mom's got some old vintage leather coach and they would still fix them. she had all the piping in one of them repaired, coach was awesome about it. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have the receipt (this IS my mother!)

i got my mom a coach bag for her b-day last year and the suede on the bottom has gotten pretty dirty. do you think the coach store would clean it or should she take it to a dry cleaner?

For twill and jacquard (signature) bags, try using diluted Woolite. I've done that before for spot treatment and it works well. Clean the area with warm water afterwards to prevent staining.

DO NOT use Oxyclean or Shout Wipes or anything like that on your bags -- those make your bags end up looking worse! They tend to leave nasty residue stains and can cause discoloration.

For leather/suede, I'd take it to a speciality cleaner, use Coach leather cleaner, or bring it to a store.

Just thought of something, I have one of those garment steamers...maybe the moisture and some rubbing will help it come out!
