I was reading Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP newsletter this morning and she was interviewing Valentino and his partner about some new online Valentino museum his partner created. There was a brief Q+A and one of her questions was:

Q: What should a woman never wear?

I was expecting some classic and timeless advice..but what he gave was...

A: "Lady Gaga's clothes."

Gotta love Valentino. He has no ....ppppokkerface (groan).

I watched the documentary on him a couple of months ago..It's called Valentino the last emperor and it's really fascinating. His lifestyle is unreal (the villas, the pugs who he takes everywhere, party in his honour at the Coliseum). It's also really interesting seeing him interact with his design partner and people he works with (he is a genius but must have been difficult to work with). I also couldn't believe they don't have a sewing machine in his design house..they hand sew everything. I think his era of design and opulence is over and it's a great movie to watch...
