I'm amazed , and out of all of them, there are only 2 sets of twins. Duggars Expecting Their 19th Child! - Babies : People.com

| | Hey...they're better than Jon & Kate. They actually seem to care more about their children than themselves...
Just my opinion though

| | | I saw this show once and that was it for me. They seemed like well-mannered kids though.
The parents seem nice, too. I liked it. Huge house. I just didn't like the bus but I laughed when I saw that's the only thing they could fit in as a family. So sad.

| | | ^^^ this, but from what ive seen, atleast this couple can provide for their family. they seem to have the finances to take care of them and discipline their kids appropriately, so kudos to them i guess...
one thing that does make me upset is seeing such a large family who CANT provide sufficiently for their family.. there is a family here where i live that have 16 KIDS (assuming they havent had more since they hit the papers)!!! one income household, father makes a good amount, but definitely not enough to support a family of 18! the entire family lived in a 2,000 square foot house! rooms were stacked with bunk beds upon bunk beds! a lot of the kids were NOT very well mannered and the family required much assistance in many areas. i've had the privilege of seeing this family in action IRL, and was thoroughly annoyed by their behavior in public... it is just a shame to see this...

Yes, having 19 children is excessive, and I'm not even going to touch how I feel about the Duggars, but really. I am fully aware of the many children who are orphaned, abandoned, abused, etc., and while it literally makes me want to puke thinking about those unfortunate children, I don't feel one iota guilty for having my six children. |

| | | Actually there are some countries where the powers that be are worried about declining birth rates, Russia and Germany just off the top of my head.
I think your question should be "Does the world really need any more Duggars" and the answer would be a resounding NO. |

PC, do you really need another, for lack of a better word, "hater" on this forum?
I was trying to make shakeymycheapvodka's comment more lighthearded.

| | As far as the Duggars, yes, IMO 19 kids is a little much. However, their children are raised with love and morals. They are taught about kindness and goodness--how to SPREAD GOODNESS.
Yes, their Church is creepy to me and borderline extreme, but they are GOOD people. They don't live off the government, aren't on medicaid or welfare. All their kids get a good education. What's the problem with that?
People like the Duggars aren't the problem--the problem is when you have crack heads and meth heads breeding like rabbits in housing projects. I have clients who have 12 children that are all in DHR custody. At least the Duggars provide a GOOD life for their children.
As for the comment directed at Jasmin, WTF was meant by that? Because she is young, she shouldn't be a mother? Please, Pianochica, enlighten us with your brilliant stereotypical statistics.
