harry potter: the order of the phoenix

omg, amazing. really rushed and it doesn't do the book justice(no suprise), but really good for the 2.5 hours it spanned.

As a HP fan I had to go see it, but I was dissapointed. It didn't do the book any justice, which I think is a first. They are usually very good at that I liked being able to see exactly what I had portrayed in my head on the screen...couldn't do that with this one. Still worth watching though

I think the 4th movie was better. This movie was.. too dark for my taste if you know what I mean.

out of all 5 movies, this one was probably the *worst* adaptation from the book. it was also the first one where the set design was not what i envisioned (usually, it is beyond my vision but in the same direction).

i nearly walked out in the middle because i was so disappointed.

I feel like they cut & slashed out far too many aspects of the book. Honestly, if I hadn't read the book, I'd have been lost. And I expected so much after watching the 4th movie!

Ugh, you people actually LIKED the GoF movie? I thought it sucked a big one. I still believe OotP is the best movie thus far. And I loved the set design. The MoM was gorgeous. Seriously, I really really liked it. I know it was a bit choppy and there were things cut out that I really wish hadn't been, but IMO, it was LOADS better than GoF. I was really disappointed in THAT one.

I enjoyed it, I am always in awe of the school and want a 'tour' of it. I enjoyed the movie, but reality is the book is always better than the movie, and the books keep getting better and thicker.

Stuff is going to have to be left out, unless they start doing the last books, like Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, where they just cut the 5 hour movie in half and release it on seperate dates, that is just the way it will have to be done.

they could make a lot more money if they did it that way. The matrix guys were geniuses for doing that.

I felt like it was just a big build up for the next movie. I was a bit disappointed in the last battle scene because it lasted only 2 minutes and then bam it was over...Sirius was killed so easily Overall I liked it but I felt like it could have been better.

I'm with Jessica...

Goblet of Fire was EH... My boyfriend disliked it so much he almost wouldn't go see this one with me.

We all (me, bf and his son) enjoyed Order of the Phoenix a LOT! Yes, the book was better, but then, it was always going to be, wasn't it? The book is always better than the movie, whether you're talking about Harry Potter, or Narnia, or even Lord of the Rings. :-/

I can't wait to see this movie again. Funny, though, I just started watching the old movies over, from the first one. They are all SO very young! It's adoreable!

^ Yes they are very young! Initially I was just drooling at how hot he's become... then I spent the rest of the movie feeling guilty for thinking that!

I liked this movie. I can't wait until a dvd set comes out so that I can watch them all again... would probably be less confusing.

Haha - I totally feel the same. I was telling my friend this just last week and she felt the same too.

You can watch it online. I've watched it a few times already.

Edamame and Snowhite: I was thinking the same thing that you were about Daniel Radcliffe...having a serious Mrs. Robinson moment while watching Ootp.

Usually I am annoyed by overlong films (director's ego trip, usually) but I felt like this one could have used a little more exposition; for instance, the whole Order of the Phoenix (the characters) don't get much development. It seemed a little rushed to me; overall that's good because I NEVER got bored, but having to explain everthing to your date if they're not big HP readers could be a bit of a problem.
