Just saw this, and all I can say is Wow.
I love the sepia (?) treatment they gave the film.
I love any movies that have great battle scenes so maybe I'm a bit biased. IMO there's not much of a plot line but it's so visually stunning that I'd pay to watch it again. "Visually stunning" also includes the cast - every single spartan in that film looks like he was recruited working out at the gym...

yes, i have this sneaking suspicion that some of those bodies were digitally modified, lol!
but they were sooo hot :drool
it was a very glorified rendition of the battle at thermopylae..
i can't imagine what it must have been like for the spartans in real life, way back then.

i like the fight scenes too! it was super entertaining, and a lot of it was very creative, not really the same thing over and over
it was kind of a touching "love story"

great movie!

They paint on makeup to add definition to the actor's bodies I am sure.

LOL!! i was wondering about their bodies, bc all the guys seemed to have all the same definition in their bodies and their muscles seemed to be proportioned the same as well. ...lol i thought i was the only one who noticed that...hehe im not alone..

but still i loved it

great movie...up there w/ gladiator on my list. thought it was a good portrayal of actual battle that happened, saw what really happened at that battle on the history channel when i got back. oh yea remember the tribe that came and helped the spartans and leonitis clowned them for their professions? well it was really 7,000 soldiers.

as for the cast, they were shredded. i noticed and i am a straight male, just really into bodybuilding. anyway most of the guys were prob in sick shape already but they used makeup and shading to make muscles "pop" out more.

I think I already said most of my thoughts on this movie a couple weeks ago. It was still good though just not as amazing as the commercials made it out to be in my opinion.

I heard the guys had to train for 2 months before too

Yeah, I was too.
The movie was quite entertaining but too unrealistic...

sweet battle scenes and cinematography but horrible storyline. Frank Miller is famous in the comic world and does some great work. Sin City is my favorite Comic movie that has been released. This was a disappointment to me. I would expect much better from a guy who is considered one of the best graphic novelists ever!

I saw this movie and liked it, I went in not expecting much...I didn't really want to see it, but went with my boyfriend and my friend. I came away liking it more than I thought I would, I think probably I wasn't expecting too much.
The men were H-O-T-T!
