| The Last King of Scotland Went to see The Last King of Scotland this evening ~ what a powerful movie. Forest Whitaker had me completely enthralled the entire movie with his portrayal of Idi Amin ~ the mercurial mood swings and the jovial "teddy-bear" aspect of his character clashed amazingly well. The movie conveyed a sense of fear at all times, even when Amin was being charming.
I found myself frozen in my chair midway through the movie and realized that I needed to actually remind myself to loosen up my neck muscles. I was tense and didn't even realize it! Very powerful.
