Went to see The Last King of Scotland this evening ~ what a powerful movie. Forest Whitaker had me completely enthralled the entire movie with his portrayal of Idi Amin ~ the mercurial mood swings and the jovial "teddy-bear" aspect of his character clashed amazingly well. The movie conveyed a sense of fear at all times, even when Amin was being charming.

I found myself frozen in my chair midway through the movie and realized that I needed to actually remind myself to loosen up my neck muscles. I was tense and didn't even realize it! Very powerful.

i thought it was great acting but other then that, quite boring. I especially hate those half true , half fiction movies (yes i know all movies are fake)

I almost forgot, the soundtrack was pretty lively though

Just rented.....A-W-E-S-O-M-E!! One of the top 10 BEST historical fiction flicks. Was tightly gripping the arms of my chair throughout the entire movie...hands still numb. SEE IT!
