just got back a little while ago.
I liked it, but I thought the beginning was a little bit slow. |

| | | Yeah, I can see that. It took me a little while to fall into it, so to speak. The rhythm and pacing were different, so that made it start slow for me too. The rest of the movie more than made up for it though. :-)

| | | I thought it fell just short of brilliant; the ending transformer type fight didn't seem to fit. I love the documentary style at the beginning and very end. And Nigerian cat food scam? How could you not love that? I will definitely have to have the DVD. |

| | | Yes, the Nigerians (everything about them) cracked me up. Cat food...who'da thunk? :-D
I loved that the movie didn't feel preachy. I didn't feel spoon fed, and I like that.

| | | Just got back - absolutely LOVED it! Had trouble following at the beginning because of Wikus' accent for some reason... But after a couple of minutes got used to it. I hope there is a sequel!

| | | Did anyone else think that Wikus was disconcertingly reminiscent of Steve Carrell? Something about the way he talks, stops, and grins. |

| | | I heard it was stupid because some idiot explained something about aliens liking catfood. My boyfriend and I thought the first 20-30 minutes was HORRIBLE and boring, but it turned out to be really good!

| | I had high expectations for this movie seeing that Peter Jackson produced it but was unfortunately disappointed. Its a cool movie to watch, but the storyline is amateur and the characters are incompatible. I thought Cloverfield was waaay more entertaining as far as this genre goes.
5/10

| | | Just saw it with my dad,
A firm 9/10 for me. LOVED IT! Beginning to end...loved the development of Wilkus as a character...even though he's the only one who's throughly fleshed-out in the movie. Still, he's all the movie needed.
Wonderful premise, excellent writing, compelling story.
And the last bit at the end with the flower...perfect. Definitely one I will watch again.
