This may sound strange but....

Has anyone here ever gone snowshoeing?

I am currently going to the gym 5-6 times a week mainly to lift and i want to add some cardio into my workout. I have one problem...i hate machines and there is no track at the gym i go to. I am usually okay in the summer because i rollerblade like crazy...but come winter i am at a loss.

I recently read about snowshoeing which would be perfect for me since we get a LOT of snow where i live but i am not familiar with it at all.

Anyone have any advice for me?

I did it in elementary school. It really is difficult and a good workout! It's also a great way to get outside and get enough sunlight in the winter.

I don't do it anymore because I have Raynaud's Disease so our -30 to -40 winters are kind of a bad thing for me, so I try to stay indoors.
