| | | I think i have that wonderful flu going around...
So i woke up this morning after a restless night of sleep with a sore throat and an all around feeling of yuck!
It took me forever to get going this morning and i ended up being late for my class and i decided not to go which made me feel bad since i NEVER miss class.
I took some echinasia (sp) and Tylenol, had some chicken soup and tea so i hope i'll start to feel better soon!
I am hardly ever sick and i am such a freaking baby! 
Does anyone have any secret cures for a really sore throat? |

I was going to do that this morning but i neglected to do so before i left the house
My throat is still sore and it looks very red. My tonsils are swollen too (this usually happens to me when i get sick though). I figure i just have to wait it out.
Man i am such a baby! |

My mom's fiance owns a Vitamin Store and he swears by this stuff. I was skeptical at first, but it actually does help a lot. I definitely notice improvements in my condition after I start taking it. For a sore throat, I also recommend zinc lozenges. They don't usually taste very good, but they work so much faster/better than regular old throat drops!

| | For a sore throat I find it helps if you keep drinking a lot, as being dehydrated makes the problem worse. Also, strangely, chewing gum when you cant drink helps- as again this keeps the area moist. Other than that, make sure you take vitamin C and generally look after yourself- get lots of sleep and dont smoke or go anywhere smoky. Hopefully it will only last a few days but if it lasts longer than a week maybe go to the doc to get antibiotics

| | i work at walgreens and i have never seen so many people coming in to buy cold medicine as i did last night, i swear every other person was buying ny quil/ cough drops. my bf came home from seeing his family for thanksgiving and brought it come - i just hope i dont come down with something before finals  |
