Anyone heard of P90X?

My husband found out about it and hes gung ho on trying it.
we did one workout yesterday and it KICKED MY ASS.

Has anyone else tried this workout or heard of it?

Its a 90 day fitness program, the company I guess that owns it is called beachbody.

THIS KICKS ASS

Yes babe , I am going on a month, and it rocks, it will continue to kick your butt, but dont quit!!!!!

I am MUCH more toned, and feel GREAT!!!!

Good job Kelly, I like the way it uses hardly any equipment, and has a excellent effect on the muscles

Whooo Hoooooo! I just received this in the mail P90X

Hey Danyle,

How are you doing on this workout? I just got it and watched the first DVD where they try to sell you all the vitamins and such. I have bowflex dumbells. Do I need to buy a chin up bar as well? I'm a little confused on what I need.

John , we got the resistance bands ( if you cannot get a chin up bar)

all you need is that and the free weights(dumbells)(optional)=push up bars/yoga mat........I have tile floors

you will be sore the first week, and talk about hella pushups!!!

you do not need the vitamins.....I just use the booklet as "what to go by" on eating habits

Okay, I just got my ass handed to me on the first DVD. I thought I was pretty good at doing push ups. The young lady in the DVD kicked mah ass. I didn't even do the chin ups because I haven't receive the bar yet.

I didn't even attempt the ab ripper X. I just watched it and nearly cried. This P90X is going to get me in the best shape ever. I'm just askeered that my arms and legs are going to fall off.

we did the core workout a few times... OMG!

I can't move today. Every muscle in my body is screaming in pain -- strangely in a good way.

I have the chin up bar and push up stand on order. I'm picking up 50lb dumbbells this weekend from a dude off craigslist. Officially, I haven't started yet because I have not gotten through the first workout.

John, it is extremely hard....and took me 3 days to get through the entire disc without passing out


this is by far the hardest workout program I have been through

I then rotated disc 1/2 for 4 days, until I could get to the level the people on there were-LOL

they were like "25" Danyel said Holy shit "10!!!!"

I have been working out on the nordic track the last two months thinking I was in getting in good shape. Oh boy, I was wrong.

I can't wait for the pull up bar. yeah right.

I have already taken my before shots. So, in about 90 days or so, you will see both sets.

I can tell you one thing...this is one of the hardest workouts I have ever done. The nice thing is that everything you do, you set your own pace to do it. I just set them too high to begin with and got my ass handed back to me on a platter.

I am thinking about getting this. But I have no place to do pull ups....does that matter? Also, how many different weights of dumb bells would I need to get? Thanks.

Hey coutney, I bought the chin up bar that attaches to the doorway. Otherwise, the resistance bands are a good alternative. Dumbbells can vary. 10 15 20, 25 is all you probably need
to start.
You need a door frame for the p90x pull up bar.

You should seeing results within the first. 4 weeks

How much is the pull up bar? Also, how long each day do I have to work out? I have a hard time because 3 days a week I work until 10pm so I don't have a lot of time for exercise.

The exercises I did were all about an hour long.


Geebs - its VERY hard to go from nothing to this.. I would recommend starting off slowly just getting active, maybe walking or something. This is a really really tough workout.

My opinion is set your pace.

NO WAY can you do the entire thing in one sitting, like I said work your way into completing the first DVD

if it takes 3 days, so be it

I even would do 30 minutes of the first and 30 minutes of the second


Courtney , you can get resistance bands for 10.00- 20.00 anywhere( I got them for my daughter)at wal-mart


Its is possible to go from nothing to doing this, but SET YOUR PACE

and you will be sore.......when they say it works all muscles, they are sure the shit not lying
