i did back and biceps and ab ripper (my bf actually did ab ripper today and there were alot of "damn u tony!!" being yelled at my computer )

"the glamour muscles!!!"

after next weeks "recovery" week i'm starting everything over again! i can't wait! i'm gotta gonna bring it this next time!

i was SUPER excited today because 10 pounds weights are getting a little light for me!!

^^^ i picked up my free weights at wal mart (they had the best price ... i went all over)

and since my dad has alot of shoulder trouble he could probably have a store for resistance bands so i took a few from him

BUT .. they do have a three pack at walmart too that i was going to buy

i think my 5lb weights were $6 and my 10lb weights were $10 i think it would be useful to have 8lbs too ...

I got a weight set on walmart.com that has 3s, 5s, and 8s. I think the whole set was $30. The shipping is free if you have it shipped to one of the stores.

Alrighty, hubby and I are considering getting this thing (after seeing Jess's pics ). We both smoke & he is still taking it easy (kind of) from back surgery 2 months ago. And unless running after a 2 year old is considered massive exercise, I'm starting from scratch. He has to start up at a gym this week and is in physical therapy every 2 weeks & has home exercises to do w/ one of those big ole plastic balls. So hopefully in a month or so, we'll get it and start getting our arses wooped along w/ the rest of you. I am looking forward to feeling fit & healthy again, and to quitting smoking but have a more smokin' body!!! lol. Anyway, I don't feel the need to read all 69 pages so instead I'm writing a novel & asking a few questions. Do you have to do the program 7 days a week or not? And what do you do at the end of 90 days, start over? Over time can you reduce the # of times a week you work out or are we talking everyday commitment forever? And finally, is it worth trying to buy on ebay or just get it off the website? Thanks for any help guys/ladies!!!

jess, wanted to ask, whe you subsituted stretch x or some cardio on yoga days, did you do it for the week 4 part..i saw next week there are 2 days with yoga..not sure if i should substitute..if you did i think i will do the same..if i could get nearly the same results as you i'd be stoked

Stef - the program is 90 days, 6 days a week(you get one rest day a week). When you finish the program you can either do a different calendar(there is lean, classic and doubles), or you can just do whatever DVDs you want whenever you want to keep up your results, which is what I'm doing for now. I may do classic later on.

Cassie - yeah, I nixed yoga altogether. I kinda wish I hadn't because I know it can be very beneficial...But I was really concentrated on losing fat and felt like an hour and a half of yoga was wasting my time, lol.

Did you guys get it on eBay or directly from Beach Body?

Which program should I follow if I want to tone up & gain muscles but not lose weight?

i went off the track FASSSTTT the first time. lol. but i think i'm back on it now. tonight was my 2nd day. i'm not doing the food plan, though. however, i bought groceries and will now be seriously trying to eat healthy (made a food journal, too) instead of eating out ever meal (seriously....it's bad).

Nakedmosher, that was the weight set I got.

Did anyone else have trouble getting through the first week? I'm trying the Lean program and I did Core on Monday and Cardio X on Tuesday. I've been so sore since I woke up yesterday that I haven't done anything since. Is it best to let my body recover a bit and then get back on track?

^^^ hahaha yea i was the same i thought i was going to die ...

i kept going though because the way they do it you arn't working the same body parts every day .. ya know so when you're doing shoulders and arms ... you legs/core get a change to recover from the core and cardio days since you're not working those areas ...

i say try the workout for the day .. and if you don't feel like you can do it ... pass on it untill recover a little.




i did yoga x today ... man you get sweaty in that workout for sure!!
then i did some turbo jam .. i felt like i needed a lil cardio

do I need dumbells AND resistance bands, or can I get by with just the bands?

I'm not sure if P90X is a good program to do shortly after having surgery. I would ask the doc first.

yea the first week i was so sore everywhre i was walkig and moving funny but for some reason once i started the workouts and got warmed up it wasn't sore..after i was done it would get sore again haha =)
