Hypnosis for Weight Loss?

I'm currently working on restyling my life to include healthier eating and more walking/exercise, and things are going well, just sloooow.

I have a life-long love affair with the cow (steak, cheese, ice cream, mmmmmmmm...) and was wondering if anyone's tried hypnosis for weight-loss? I was thinking that it might help overcome my insane desire for the more fattening things that I enjoy eating.

Just curious...

I know it works for smoking (I haven't done it, but I've seen the results firsthand), so who knows, it may work for weight loss. I do know the person I know who does hypnosis says some people are more suggestible than others, and that for soem people it just doesn't work.

You also have to WANT to succeed. Deep down if you go in for hyponotherapy but don't really want to work at it, you will only have short term success. The brain is only as encouragable as you let it be.

Hypnosis, no- but there's a book that explains the food addictions and helps overcoming them, I forgot who wrote it, but if you search on amazon for "food seduction", you'll find it.

yeah, if I don't remember wrong. hypnosis does work for weight loss to a certain point. I did a hypnosis project a couple of years ago. and actually been hypotized as part of the project. everyone does have a different level of hypotizability, but for me, wow, did it work. lol. i wrote a paper on this part too i think, forgot if i did mentioned weight loss or not, but i know it work in surgeries without any anesthestics.

How to quit smoking with hypnosis

Hey y’all,

I’ve been lurking for awhile but this is a really cool forum so I decided to
jump in and get my feet wet. I’m new at this so I don’t have much to
say but it’s been real educational reading here and I look forward to
participating.
