| | | delicious healthy quick snack what i do is i make some oatmeal, and have it really hot. then i take several spoonfuls of plain vanilla yogurt (i use stonyfield farms vanilla yogurt) and put it on my oatmeal instead of milk. it's kind of like a parfait, but you can have it for breakfast and it's sweet and healthy and tasty.

| | | another good one is to take leftover veggies/meats frm dinner the night before, heat em up all cut into small pieces, roll it up in a flour totrtilla and pop a bit of salsa and cheese on it. Good with everythign, c orn, chicken, roast, potatoes, green beans...i dont know why it's so good, but it is, and a good way to get rid of leftovers, i haveone everyday after school.

| | | My favourite snack? You warm in a dry pan some oatmeals and sesame seeds and when it's warm you put in some honey... (I shouldn't be doing this, I'm trying some detox...)

| | | my three current fave healthy snacks:
--fiber one chocolate and oats or pb and oats bars, seriously yummy (i have turned on like 5 friends to them, they taste like a honey choco or pb candy bar) and they are 140 cals and 9g of fiber! and nicely sized too.
--2% greek fage yogurt with tablespoon of honey and some splenda, whip it up really well so it's light and fluffy. add berries if you want. 130 cals for the container, 60 cals for honey and 0 for splenda, lots of protein and little fat.
--dannon light n'fit yogurt smoothies, i seriously love these things for when you need something on the go but don't feel like eating anything...one keeps me full for a few hours between breakfast and lunch and is only 60 cals and no fat.
oh and if you want a yummy super quick dessert, i discovered sugar-free and fat-free jello pudding boxes in the pudding aisle, they have banana cream which is one of my faves...i make it with 1% milk and pour it into 3 parfait dishes, for 3 servings with 1% milk it's only milk fat and 100 cals. it's instant so you can eat it right away but i let mine chill for an hour at least in the fridge. sometimes i put some whipped cream on top, tastes like banana cream pie which is one of my fave desserts. YUM. |

that oatmeal and yogurt sounds like a really good idea! I've never tried it, although I like a modified version of yogurt and cereal
I use this cereal called "Nature's Path Organic 8 Grain Synergy Flakes" I know...it sounds funky, and they might as well come up with one called "Health Pellets." It's actually really good. And healthy!
Or there's always cut up fuji apples dipped in sweetened condensed milk! mmmm

| | My favorite snack when i am craving something sweet (and this is going to sound strange) is pink grapefruit. I cut one in half, sprinkle a tiny bit os Splenda on it, and eat it all up in about 5 minutes :P.
I am also a big fan of cottage cheese with splenda and cinnimon (sp). High in protien, low in fat and carbs, and super sweet
