| | | I am going to join Curves. My daughter's good friend's mom owns the one here and I have had good results with that type of workout.
I am scared of "cleansing" because I may have to leave the house! Not possible when you are doing that!
I just need to start drinking water--I drink way too much diet coke!
We should all get those little counter thingy's like Becks has in her sig. I love those!
I would be interested in that herbal supplement thing--maybe!

| | | if you have a farmers market near, or a reliable source of organically grown veggies, you could do a vegan diet for a few days (it will take longer if you are putting things in your system)

| | | Celeb juice diet is a waste of money...you can get the same effects with any other juice.
If you are doing a fast, I'd recommend either just water, or water and herbal tea. Water and diluted unsweetened cranberry juice (NOT regular cranberry juice, all are sweetened) also help to cleanse kidneys.
For a cleanse, a high-fiber diet with organic fruits, veggies (steamed to improve digestion), and whole grains would probably get things moving. The idea is to eat easily digestible things that "clean you out".
But fasting and cleansing are pretty useless unless you are wanting to make lifestyle changes. So using a fast or cleanse to try to get rid of a junk food addiction is a great goal-- after you've gone a week without one, fruit will start tasting like candy!

| | ^^^agreed!
There is this really good 2 day de-tox thing that my cousin gave me, shes a nutritionist.
For 2 days you have 5 shakes a day of this
Papaya
2 small cups of uncooked oatmeal
non-fat milk
however only in the morning and night you add the oatmeal and milk...the 3 shakes in between are just with papaya and water...this is just to cleanse your body, not to loose weight, of course you do feel less tummy fat because it helps you loose a lot of bloating, it works great.

| | | Kay guys, here it goes, first post about my fast:
It's been an hour since I've last eaten, and I'm bloated from a big order of nachos, chips and salsa and a chocolate shake. I think I cheated in eating right before midnight. I;m not going to be hungry until probably about 6 tonight, I predict I will be a real bitchy grump for the next few days.

| | | I'm 10 hours into mine (most of them spent sleeping) and so far, so good. I'm a spazz- the only concern I have is that I don't want to lose ground with my running because of the fast. I plan on doing my regular run on Wednesday morning and hope I can handle it. I also go back to work on Wednesday, so I'll have to make the call of whether I'm going to be okay to teach all day while fasting.
I'm definitely in for 2 days, Day #3 is up in the air.
I'm mad because the OxyClean I ordered by second day air was supposed to arrive on Dec.29, but due to the stupid snowstorm, UPS couldn't get to my house.

| | | K so I know I said I was in, I have to wait to see if I am pregnant this month before I do any drastic diet changes. I tend to eat healthy for the most part so I will just concentrate on that. I should know on January 5th, which also happens to be the 7 year anniversary of my father-in-law's death, so it would be real special for my hubby to get good news on that day. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please! |

| | yeech, I definitely need in on this. I wear sweatpants all the time now because the thought of squeezing into jeans is upsetting. I'm going to make a real effort to start going to the gym again and to stop drinking diet soda! Also seriously need to learn the concept of moderation |

| | | I'm on hour 32 of my fast. So far, so good. Yesterday evening I started feeling really nauseous, but the feeling went away. I also had a massive headache, which I'm guessing is 3 days of caffeine withdrawal rearing its ugly head.
I'm definitely in for the rest of today...still undecided about tomorrow. It would be embarrassing if I passed out while attempting to teach.
