| | | Sure thing Jessica. I really enjoyed "confessions of an ugly stepsister" there were times where it was a little slow and I got antsy but overall I liked it. and couldn't put it down. But when I finally get around to finishing wicked I'll let you know.

| | | For school I am reading Farenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, and will soon add a looong research book about the Holocaust to that (*sigh*).
For fun I am reading Specials by Scott Westerfeld (3rd in a trilogy) But I haven't gotten to read it in a long time thanks to 451.

| | | Right now in my messenger bag I have:
- the October GQ (still good for a flip now and then to look at the ads; to be honest I couldn't care less about Alec Baldwin or Josh Hartnett);
- a novel called Faggots (oooooh, so controversial) by Kramer.
I saw it at the bookstore and I couldn't resist with such an attention-grabbing name! You should see the looks I get on the subway ... |

I think that if you liked wicked you will also enjoy confessions...maybe even a little more. The sequel is called 'Son of a Witch'. I plan on reading it after I read wicked and 'Mirror Mirror'.
I'm really enjoying being able to read because I want to rather than having to read just texts and professional journals all the time. It's really exciting.

| | | Just finished reading "Banco", the sequel to Henri Charriere's "Papillon". Awesome books!
Now work on:
War & Peace - Leo Tolstoy
Finally broke down and decided to try and read it since it's been sitting on my shelf for ages. Thick books intimidate me for the long term commitment they require. I am about a hundred pages in so far, and it's surprisingly a fun and interesting read. |
