My sister and my cousin turned me onto this book. I read Twilight in 2 days and just went and bought all the rest of them that are out. Also if you go to TWILIGHT - The Official Movie Site - IN THEATERS 12.12.08 there are several photos from the movie as well as a couple of trailers. I think that they pick a great Edward!

So I totally buckled to my sister, and she gave me the first book.

Let me just say this, I started the first one at approx 1:45 am Sat morning At approx 1:45am Monday morning I finished. I had been in a reading glut, I'm surprised, really surprised my husband didn't complain. She bought all four and has the 4th waiting for me, but I am holding out till my hubby leaves town next week before picking it up.

I thought the story line was great, I was totally sucked in, obviously.

I have to say the marketing plan fby the publisher or whoever did an amazing job, even if yo uhad never heard of the series, with the 4th book coming out, you do now. I am betting they picked up a ton of new fans with the last release.

was mad I got this book

I was highly recommended this book by the woman that owns my local bookstore. I love Vamp books, and had heard it was being made into a movie, so I thought, "why not". I even paid full price for a brand new one, something I rarely do. I was so mad I wasted my money and time (goodbye, four hours of my life). There are so many better vamp books out there. (Anita Blake anyone?) Sigh, oh well.

I don't really like the pics I have seen of the actor they picked for Edward, I hope when the movie comes out it will look much better than the pics!

We read Twilight for our book club (we're all moms!) and had a discussion about it. I can't believe how many teenagers are obsessed with this. It's an easy read and can't pinpoint it but we were all wanting more so we've all read the series! Now, we can't wait for the movie to come out.

I don't think it's well written but enough to capture the teenagers, I guess.

Edward is better looking in the movie than the pictures they have out there.

I must be living under a rock because I had never heard of this series until a friend recommended it last weekend. I just got Twilight in the mail this afternoon and I am 1/3 of the way through it. So far I am hooked and can't wait to read the entire series - its so hard to put this down!

I just finished Twilight. It only took me a few days to read it. I'm totally hooked. Does any one else feel like a teenage girl reading it though? I went and bought New Moon this evening.

^ OMG I felt the same way! I finished all four books in a week! I was lucky that the day I bought the first book the last book came out! So once I finished the first book (that night) I went out and bought the other three!

I also just finished reading her other book, The Host. I really like her writing style and this book was meant for a little bit older of an audience.

The movie comes out 11/21 instead of 12/12. Yay! Can't wait to see it but I won't be there on the first day. Don't want to deal with bunch of teenagers drooling over Edward!

I just finished the first 2 and need to get the next two. I am really impressed and surprised that there is no cursing or skin! That was a pleasant surprise.

Finally got around to reading it and I had mixed feelings about it. I don't like her writing style, which is a bit erratic and has awkward transitions in some places, so it makes it hard for me to grasp the flow of the storyline at times. But I do like it on a totally frivolous level, the teen romance and the vampire lore. I hope her other books have more focus on the plot development than the character development.

Sometimes I think Edward is the perfect bf, but during the first 200 pages I've read of Eclipse he seems more and more controlling and I hate the way he always acts like he knows whats best for her and doesn't want her taking any risks. I know its because he is worried about her, but its getting a bit annoying.
