World Without End by Ken Follett

I just finished this...it was SOOOOO good!!! I read Pillars of the Earth (current Oprah's Book CLub selection...about 18 years old, though) years ago and I LOVED it...this was just as good. It's amazing how he weaves the history of the MIddle Ages together with the character's lives...just amazing! He makes Kingsbridge (the medieval town that's its setting) come alive. I was sorry to have it end, but I just couldn't stop reading.

I recently finished Pillars of the Earth. By the end I liked it but in the middle I was hating it just because some of the characters are just so awful! I just got so sick of reading what William was going to do next!

I know that William is really hard to take (and there's a character like him in WWE), but he really gets his comeuppance . My love for Aliena, Jack and Prior Philip more than balanced it out, though.

I started to read Pillars of the Earth but it's so freaking long & the words are tiny! I only made it to page 80 then turned to a new book. I couldn't get into it. Is it slow the whole way through?

Sorry it took me soooooo long to respond! At page 80 you've barely scratched the surface...has Jack Builder been hired to repair the cathedral (sorr, I don't have access to my book!) Please give it another chance!
