Whoa!!! it was really good lots of intrigue and plotting and more surprises than the rest of the book put together. I can't believe how much she packs into just one book.

If you are a fan of Laurell's then you'll love this book!

I used to love Laurell but most of her recent books (both Anita Blake and Merry Gentry) focus too much on 'carnal pleasures'. I wouldn't mind if she toned those bits down. Anita Blake used to be awesome. Still, I'll buy them. I have all of the books in mentioned series so far.

if you like her story lines, but want it toned down, then this is definitely your kind of book. There wasn't much in the 'carnal pleasure' arena, but a load of intrigue and storyline. I read it way too fast...
