I read it BEFORE I saw the movie last summer and absolutely loved it. That brought me on to go on a McEwan rampage reading Saturday, On Chesil Beach, Amsterdam and I just bought Black Dogs (one of his earliers). He's a great writer although I really hated Saturday.

Loved the book! Loved the movie! The chemistry between Keira Knightley and James McAvoy is solid.

Ian McEwan is one of my favorite writers (next to Julian Barnes), and my favorite book is Comfort of Strangers which was also adapted into film.

I liked the book more than the movie....
I had to explain the movie to some ppl because they found it too convoluted without fully knowing the plot.
I liked the cinematography though...it was shot beautifully!
