Dark Tower series

I finished up the series yesterday. it ended differently than i had expected or wanted really, but i really liked it. i have to admit, it would have taken me forever to read it so i got the unabridged cds at my library and listened to them on my commute to and from work everyday

omg you finished it?!
i love stephen king
but when i saw those dark towers books i got so friggin discouraged
THEY'RE HUGE!!!
i've never read a single one
plus the other problem is that i know that when i read one, i will feel obligated to read all the other ones.. that's just too much reading!! haha

^i do about 50/50 with his books. half reading and half unabridged cd's. but this series is 100% easy listening warning though, if you start you have no choice but to do the whole thing. it's a good story and the way they end is very abrupt(sp).

I read 'The Gunslinger' (the 1st of the Dark Tower series) when I was in 8th grade and enjoyed it. I kept forgetting to buy the other books after all these years... but start again.

i read all his books too. it's all pretty good. it's funny because the one he likes the best is the one i liked the least. Lisey's story wasn't that great to me.

i'm telling you guys, just go to your library and get them on cd. the guy that reads them is great. it really keeps the stress level low when you are commuting to and from work/school everyday!
