Jodi Picoult- Nineteen Minutes, My Sisters Keeper, The Pact

I have just started getting into her books.

Two I loved!

Nineteen Minutes- Fictional story about a teenager who goes on a shooting spree at his high school. But survives. It is about the people involved, teens, teachers, law inforcement and parents. Very touching and scary. You truly think about how kids are raised these days and what goes on in communities. Surprise ending!

My Sisters Keeper- I LOVED this book. All her books make you think about the decisions we make. This is about a family who conceive a child too be a donor for their other child with a rare form of leukemia. But it doesn't stop there. The child has numerous procedure over the years to help her sister and then as a teen she wants to stop and hires a lawyer to emancipate her from her parents and let her refuse the medical treatments for her sister. Also has a crazy surprise ending. And had me bawling and thinking of this book for weeks after I was done. Not sure if I want to see the movie b/c I am afraid i will be so disappointed!

The Pact- Not so great IMO. About a teenage couple who have a suicide pact but only one dies. Kinda slow and boring IMO. I wouldn't recommed this over the others.

I am dying to read Handle with Care next. And catch up on some of the others.

Please post some of your favorite Jodi Picoult books so I can pick them up!

I LOVE Jodi Picoult!!! I started reading her stuff about 4 years ago.

You must read Songs of the Humpback Whale! The Tenth Circle and Vanishing Acts are very good as well.

Thsoe are the ones that come to mind right away becasue I reccommend them all of the time. I didn't really care for Nineteen Minutes though I know many people thought that it was great My Sister's Keeper, on the other hand, WOW! What a tear jerker for me from start to finish!

I love Jodi Picoult!!! I read Change of Heart recently, it was really good and again had kind of a surprise ending.

I also just finished Keeping Faith, and I really loved it! At first it seemed a bit slow and I wasn't totally into it, but I loved it more and more as I got further in.

I'm trying to catch up and read all of her books!

I have enjoyed all of her books. I just finished Harvesting the Heart. I thought it was a great read. Plain Truth was really good also.
I'm just about to start Songs of the Humpback Whale.

I really like Jodi Picoult too! I've read most of the books mentionned but I'm not sure what my favorite is. I happen to be reading My Sister's Keeper right now. I expect the movie will disappoint me but I will definitely go see it when it comes out just to see how they change the story.

Jodi Piccoult is my 2nd fav author - after Marion Keyes

I've bought and read ALL her books and can honestly say, none of them are bad. They are ALL good. If you can borrow them from your library or pick them up at a decent price, I would highly recommend getting them all

My Sisters Keeper was fantastic, they're releasing the film soon-I think Cameron Diaz is in it. I don't think I'll go and see it though because I know I'll cry all the way through

I LOVED My Sister's Keeper. There is a page in the book that I am absolutely in love with! Page 266... when Anna talks about the age and how you look in heaven.

I can't wait to read more of her books!

Just finished Picture Perfect. It was pretty good. But the indian topics kinda bored me. The whole story line with Will couldn't keep me interested.

It is a story about an abusive husband and worth reading IMO.
