While I liked this book, the first half had me more riveted and had more potential then the second half. It seemed like he ran out of room to finish his original plan or ideas to make it really interesting, and then it just became fairly predictable. Still a good read, and I like historical fiction. The Historical stuff was interesting and about an era I am not that aware.
