| | | lash curlers: shu vs shiseido? i finally got a shu eumura lash curler after all my friends had been raving about it. i was so excited but found it didn't give much of a natural curl. plus, everytime i would use it, it would pull at least 1 or 2 hairs out, which never happened with any of my old lash curlers.
i heard shiseido lash curlers aren't as "tight" as the shu eumura ones and give a great curl that lasts so i just thought i'd ask you guys for opinions so i can decide whether to buy or not. thanks! |

| | | I have both the shu and the shiseido but I've only used the shu once before it stayed in my drawers. the shu didnt give me any curl at all whereas the shiseido gives me the perfect curl.
i've been using my shiseido curler for at least 2 years now (of course I've been changing the pad) and I absolutely loveee it! |

| | | I have a $3 revlon, and it works better than anything else for me, It's just a matter of the pinch, move down, pinch method.

| | | I use either Shu or Kevyn Aucoin but then the SA said they were actually made by the same manufacturer. I love them a lot, give me a nice curl. If you're pulling lashes, maybe you press them too hard? Try bring the curl closer to the lid, that might give you a better curl. |

| | | I tried Shu and Shisiedo at Sephora before deciding on the Shiseido. I thought the Shu curl was TOO curly (if that makes sense, it created like too much of a 90 degree angle with my lashes). The Shiseido seemed more natural. I have that one and I'm happy with it. |

| | thanks so much for all the advice everyone
i guess shu is maybe a bit overrated and right now i have a revlon too but my lashes never seem to hold a curl. i used t have them permed like twice a year but i haven't gone in a while.
based on the reviews, i guess i'm buying a shiseido one next |

| | | yep I have the Shiseido one and I like the way it curls. the thinkg I love about it is that my lashes stay curled for a long time, and its very natural.

| | | i like Shi, but i feel like it doesnt curl the corner lashes, it curls the front lashes, and bends the corners in weird angle. im going to give Shu a try next.

| | i am a huuuge shu convert. i literally threw out all of my shiseido/murad stuff after i discovered the shu skincare line. i've been using the shu eye lash curler way before that and love it to death. if you guys haven't tried out their mineral oil face wash yet, do so! i haven't gotten a new zit in about 2 mo . |

| | | I have a Shu and I love it. It's just a matter of how you use it though...you can't only do one section...you have to do what keri said....pinch, move down, pinch. You can also control the degree of curl by the amount of pressure you put on it.

| | | I need to read more in this section!
I have the Shu curler and I always thought it curled too much. Would have never thought about the curl-move down-curl-method! Thanks gals!

| | | off topic with shu and shi,
i went to sephora today and bought the Tweezerman curler, my shi was dying and it didnt curl equally cuz its so ancient. Amazingly for $9 the tweezerman was REALLY good, it has a purple rubber thing and doesnt pinch me at all.

| | i checked shiseido yesterday and found out that they, like shu and everyone else, love to jack prices up over here. it was roughly $26.00 for the shu lash curler and $22.00 for the shiseido.
luckily, i talked to someone from MUA and she told me to check out sasa in hong kong (my boyfriend's going in a couple days), they sell them there for $10.00 |

| | | I bought the shu and shiseido based on all the good reviews on makeupalley. The shu wasn't a good fit for my eye so I gave it to my friend who loves it. I liked the shiseido better and have used it now for a couple of years. I also have used the tweezerman too and that's good if you don't want to spend a lot of money. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
