| | | What face wash do you use? I'm wondering what people use and if they like it. Also what skin type do you have and does the face wash help it at all? I use The Body Shop Vitamin E, Teatree, or Seaweed, depending on how my skin is. Currently it's oily . I think there could be a better wash out there. |

| | | I use a facial cleanser from Dianna Yvonne called Wheat Germ Cleanser: wheat germ oil castile, coconut oil castile, seaweed extract, vegetable glycerine, citrus seed extract. I love it!
I have combination skin...and no it doesn't help it but it doesn't make it worse either. |

| | I use Botanical Kinetics Purifying Gel Cleanser by Aveda. I love this face wash! One of the few face products I have found that doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, it leaves it clean and soft. http://www.aveda.com/templates/produ...CT_ID=PROD6138 |

| | | if I use it when my skin isn't oily i get crazy breakouts. but right now my skin is really broken out (I think it's stress and serious lack of sleep, I'm getting 2-3 hours a night right about now) and oily so I'm using the fresh foaming.

| | I use Avene ultra Rich Cleanser with Cold Cream. It has very gentle detergents and no fragrance. I have oily skin. I found that using a cleanser for oily skin makes my skin produce more oil because it seems to compensate for the stripping cleanser.
I use a regular oil (safflowe, sunflower or mineral) before on dry skin, and then the cleanser. It takes off everything including waterproof eye m/u.

| | | I use Napoleon Perdis Marshmallow Foam - Makeup remover. During summer I pop it in the fridge so that it feels cool after a long day out. Its waterless and removes water-proof mascara as well. I follow with Caryl Baker AHA Vitalite toner. I am combination skin. |

| | | I also use fresh foaming 'cause I'm oily and it takes all my makeup off in one step (I'm lazy).
If anyone has another suggestion for a facewash that I can get at the drugstore that will also remove makeup and stuff...I'm all ears! I've been told this one is not-so-gentle, but hey..it's worked well enough so far.

| | I tried cetaphil and it just didn't seem to get all my makeup off (I sometimes go bonkers with the eyeshadow).
Jenn - is there a particular oil that would be lightest (oily, VERY acne prone skin) that I could try? Where would I buy it? Can you explain how it's used? Could I then try to use something like cetaphil after or would it not be strong enough to get all the oil/makeup combo off?

| | | Vasoline will get off all your eyemakeup and you can wash your wash with whatever else. I have had to use it before when i had nothing else and it works really well actually. My mom and grandma have used Pond's Cold Cream for years and years and don't ever use anything else to take off their makeup. That stuff just a little bit too greasy for me though. |

You can try with regular sunflower or safflower oil from the supermarket, too, if you have any at home. Massage on dry skin, including (carefully) eyes. I use perhaps half a tsp for face and throat.
Then wet hands, pour a little cetaphil on them, lather up on face. If that doesn't take off even your eye m/u, try moisten a cottonpad, drop a little oil on it, wipe gently over eyes. Wash off with cetaphil.
I found mineral oil (unperfumed baby oil) works best for me. Oily, acne- prone here.

| | | i swear by shu uemura mineral oil cleanser now. my skin has gotten considerably better looking (less breakouts, healthier) because of it. it is pricey (70 for a 450ml bottle) but worth every penny! |

| | | I am currently using Dior rinse-off Cleansing Gel, it is by far one of the best that i've used since most of the other products tend to leave my skin feeling very dry.
Other than that, I use the Dior's Drains De Magie Exfoliating Face Scrub twice a week. |

| | | i alternate between:
fresh soy makeup remover & cleanser
neutragena gentle face wash
st. ives apricot face wash with beads
i have oily skin, and the neutragena is good for makeupless days, the soy takes off most my makeup, and any eyeshadow/racoon eyes from mascra i remove with facial lotion and some qtips (put some lotion on the back of your hand, and roll the qtips in it). this technique helps to moisturize under your eyes (esp good at night, when your body absorbs the most), and takes off any residue makeup, too! the st. ives i throw in there maybe 3-4 times a week just for some good old exfoliating (i love how they make a cleanser now, and not just straight up face scrub, which feels like smearing sandpaper on my face!)
