| | | You may think I'm crazy But I deep condition with olive oil once a month. 30 mins under a heater thing.
And this is what you get from it, it not only is super shiny and bright, but it also makes your hair so freaking soft:
So yeah, girls go bust out your evoo. (it's my secret, and you should feel lucky I shared) |

| | Looking great, Keri!
My secret is the "curly girl" book, and the naturallycurly.com site. I never knew I had real curls before, just thought I had stubborn hair, hehehe!
Now I have a curly mane.

| | I certainly hope it's not your green and peppery extra virgin you are wasting!? It's too good to be sacrificing even for a good cause. |

| | | Keri, how do you do it? You shampoo your hair first and use olive oil instead of conditioner and rinse? Or just apply some oil to your dry hair and wash hair afterwards? I definitely need deep conditioning! |

| | | I oil first, skip the wash before, cause i'm lazy, if you want some sort of energizer, you can rub your scalp with lemon juice before you put in the oil, really cool feeling. But just saturate your hair, put it in one of those caps, and then sit under a dryer for 30 mins. After that just wash your hair like normal, it might take up to 3 washes to get it all out, or it might rinse right out, it is finicky.
I found out about this through a bout with headlice in the 8th grade, we couldn't get rid of it, and a neighbor suggest olive oil, and it worked, and made my hair like silk, I've been doing it ever since. |

| | | I want to add, I have no idea how this might affect haircolor. I dont color my hair, so I have only done it on natural hair.
Anyone done this before with colored hair?

| | I think it won't affect haircolor since it's just olive oil? |

I will let you know after I try it. |

| | | A hot oil treatment that you buy at the store like V05 would probably work the same. I use those and they are awesome and really cheap. Sometimes I sleep with it in with a showercap on and wash it out in the morning. It is a great deep conditioner.
Also Jenn what is the curly girl book. I need that I have curly hair and would love new tips on how to tame the mane. |
