Don't laugh, but I am just now buying a hair dryer for the first time , and I wanted to know if there are any brands/types I should avoid, or any really good ones that people recommend. I have short hair, if that matters, and don't want to spend more than $40 or so.
My hairdresser is helping me transition into a longer cut, but she told me it's time to bite the bullet & get a dryer so that I can keep some volume as my hair gets longer. She didn't believe I'd gone for 26 years without a dryer!

um well I have a hot tools lite n quiet and my mom has a hot tools something...and they're both awesome, we've had them for years and they've always worked like a dream.

I have a super powerful hot straightener with vents, that's my dryer, that and the air.

i think i have a revlon ionic one. i've tried another ionic one but can't remember the name at the moment, but i suggest getting any ionic one, they seem to dry faster, and do less damage to hair
