Eyeliner

I have a problem with eyeliners. Everytime I put it on its all smudged in no time - sometimes even before I leave the house! I even tried the waterproof ones and I see no difference. I have to always make sure I have tissue that I can wipe up the corners with from time to time, if not it just runs down Does anyone else have this problem or am I just weird?

you might need to use an eye base, like LM cream eye basics. goes on very thin, and then I HIGHLY recommend the BB gel eyeliners They are waterproof and don't budge once they are on

hmm I have to try that. BB = Bobbi Brown right? I've tried Lancome "waterproof" and a bunch of other brands but they never work.

Also, you might try using shadow inteadof liner. Get a liner brush and dip it in some water, squeeze out excess (so the brush is wet and stiff) and then use it to apply eyshadow in a fine line above your lashes.

I always do this instead of eyeliner. If you have a shadow that stays on, get the same brand but in a dark brown or black or whatever you wear.

Bobbi's gel liners are amazing! They last through a day in a salon, over a hot sink, and the hot dryer going all day. Other liners would wear off, and these stay.
PS....You need to get the gel liner brush to go with it.

with e/l, other than BB, Iwill dust a similar colored eye shadow, to kind of hep 'set' the eyeliner. This works really well also, but won't be waterproof.

I use the BB gel e/l and waterproof mascara for days at the water park and NEVER have a problem. it's great

I've seen Bobbi Brown cosmetics in department stores like Nordstorms, Saks and Neiman Marcus. Hope that helps!

I used to use eye shadow but it would get in my eye lid crease. Now I use the MAC fluid line. I love it

i used to always have this problem and tried several different drugstore brands. i didn't want to spedn much more than those because i go through eyeliner a lot more quickly than anything else because i use it pretty much everyday. i have oily skin, so it tends to smudge more (i think). i started using the waterproof type of maybelline's "unstoppable" eyeliner pencil, self sharpening, and it's been working great. it stays on all day until i actually take personal steps to remove it! i think it was only about $6, maybe worth a try.

aww i'm sorry maybe you should find a base, the other girls know what they're talking about a lot more so than i do! imo it sounds like a base might do more for you than trying eyeliner recommendations that might not work out.

bobbi brown vanilla stick (base) and gel eyeliner. i usually throw own a nude/neutral/shimmery color on top of the vanilla stick, but just to make sure it has something to bond with aside from just the eyeliner. works for my oily lids oh yeah, and listen to tina, get the special brush that is made for it, SO MUCH easier!

I used to swear by MAC Fluidline, but it started smudging on me, so I've been using MAC Liquidlast liner. It doesn't smudge and stays put all day. Only downside is it flakes a bit, but if you don't rub your eyes it won't flake.

I tried Revlon ColorStay eyeliner yesterday...fell asleep in it, rubbed my eyes in the morning, washed my face...and no smudges!

My skin is not oily, though, so not sure if it will be as good for those with oily skin...

MAC Liquidlast is brutal! It's so hard to get off!
That said, it would probably stay on almost anyone if it stays on me. I'm freakishly oily.

I use Chanel aqua crayon, it smudges a bit but the color is perfect. I've gotten lazy and now I don't even bother with eyeliner anymore but that might change when school starts. Think I'll try the Bobbi Brown next.
