Anyone try the Lorac TANtalEYES or Little Black palette?

I'm going on vacation in a couple of days. I plan on bringing my UD Naked Palette, but I'm thinking I don't want to bring something as large.

Has anyone tried this one? Do you like it and do you think it is a good size for traveling? I read reviews that the packaging is a bit bulky.

I'm jonesing to go out and get it but maybe I should just use the Naked Palette and not spending the extra $.

I don't have that palette, but I love Lorac eyeshadows and I've tried this in-store. I liked the colors a lot! All the Lorac shadows I've dealt with have been very smooth and highly pigmented. I can't remember how big it was so I'm no help there.

Thanks Rachel! I only have a couple of Lorac shadows. I do like them.

Actually, I think I like this one better. The new Little Black Palette. Wait, maybe this is too shimmery for day. I want one to do both day & night.

thoughts?

Ooh I like that one better! I think you'd be able to get day and night looks out of the black one.
This came up on google, and while it's more dramatic than anything I'd wear for day I do think it looks good. Michael Franco: LORAC Little Black Palette

That link is super helpful Rachel!

I think, those colors are way too rich for me for day then based on her pics. Probably even for night. So pretty on her. I'm so timid applying darker colors except to go over my eyeliner. Weird, huh?

I am the same way with darker colors! I get so scared of them. Even after stalking Carol's FOTD tutorials I am still intimidated by them.

Linda! I went to our JC Penney Sephora last night just to look for these, but they only had the Little Black Palette in stock. It was awesome! I didn't have my phone with me or I would have swatched and taken a picture for you, but I really liked it. The colors were pretty and the shadows themselves were so smooth. The colors were very shimmery like you had said earlier, but I still think you could create a pretty day look with them regardless. I like shimmer during the day.

K I went. IMO they're not really THAT big (but I mean that's subjective). I'm not familiar with Lorac eyeshadows / packaging but the packaging seemed sort of cheap. I liked the colours in the Little Black Palette more though... possibly because in TANtalEYES there is a greenish olive-y eyeshadow and I'd have no idea how to use that colour LOL If I remember correctly both palettes were shimmery but I think I would go for the Little Black Palette

ETA: the packaging isn't a *hard* packaging like the UD Naked palette, it's more of a cardboardy like feeling.. ? I think it is cardboard actually LOL cause it's the type of material that when you accidentally bend it it'll have that line/crease there.

Well, I'm back and I ended up NOT purchasing any of these before my trip. However, I did just get the Little Black Palette from Sephora and I LOVE IT!

I am able to wear it during the day, no prob. A bit shimmery but I like that in the summer.

Thanks for looking for me ladies!
