Is the Clarisonic Pro worth the extra money?

I did a search here, but most of the threads are kind of old. I want to purchase a Clarisonic but don't know which one to get. My local med spa sells the Pro for $225 and is an authorized seller. Then there is this company here that sells is for a bit less but I'm not sure if they are an authorized seller.

Clarisonic Pro Spot Therapy Trial

I think it makes a difference who you purchase it through when it comes to the warranty. I still am on the fence about which model to buy and if 1 extra speed is worth it. The Pro doesn't seem to be much more than the Plus.

Then there is this.

Costco - Nutra Sonic® Professional Face & Body Cleanser

My friend got one from Costco and loves it. I would only be worried about having to find replacement brushes.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i think i have the plus. i really do like it, but for sure cant use it every day. i think one speed would really be enough. the products that come with it arent worth it, imo. i got it from sephora so i could return it easily. no idea about the costco one, sorry!
oh, and if youre looking for deals i think there's a thread in the deals and steals section on tPF.

^^Yeah, I really don't want any product with the device. I want to continue to use my own. I do want to be able to use the body brush on the Clarisonic and I don't know if thats possible with the MIA or I would just get that one.

I agree that the Clarisonic brand product stinks. I used it once or twice when I purchased my MIA in the summer, but didn't like it at all. I like my MIA, but I haven't had the results that I wanted. I don't think I need any more speeds because I'm unable to use mine twice a day everyday with the one speed. Unless the others offer lower speeds.
I don't think you can use a body brush with the MIA.
From Clarisonic's site:
Quote:
Body: For cleansing areas of the body needing extra care and attention, including the décolleté, hands, arms, elbows and feet. Works with Clarisonic PLUS and PRO models.

^^Do you mind if I ask what type of results you were looking for?

My face always looks peel e (don't know any other way to put it). I want to smooth it out a bit but am not trying to remove wrinkles or anything.

I've had my Mia for about a month now and I'm enjoying it. I didn't even try the cleanser that came with it, I've just been using my Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser. I did have a week where I broke out after using the Clarisonic. It brings everything to the surface. Now though, my skin looks great and I feel like I don't need as much foundation as I did before. It just naturally looks glowy. It doesn't work magic or anything but it does make a difference IMO.

I was hoping it would help to improve my skin as far as blackheads and pimples go. My friend had gotten one and it helped her clear her skin up and kept new zits from forming. I was told by several people that Clarisonic + salicylic acid would help with blackheads better than just a normal skin routine with salicylic acid.

^^I am totally worried about having break outs at first. I guess all I can do is get started using it so I can break out and be done with it.

I got acne in my 20's that required accutane to clear it up. I still get it from time to time though. It is nowhere near as bad now.

I called Clarisonic and they said that Skinmedix was an authorized seller so I just bought the Pro Trial version. It seems a pretty good deal for $198 and comes with 4 brushes. It doesn't have retail packaging, but I don't need it anyway.

Clarisonic Pro Spot Therapy Trial

Thanks for the replys ladies.
