Foundation questions!

Ladies, I am in need of your expertise...
I need to find some liquid foundation for my SUPER dry skin this winter I usually use Bare Minerals in Golden Medium. I've been wanting to try MUFE. What Im' wondering... for those who've tried this are the color descriptions accurate on Sephora?

Other recommendations would be helpful too ... I'm Asian and have dry skin (pretty much all year), and it's medium color w/ yellow/olive undertones. I don't want anything that's heavy, maybe a sheer to medium coverage but not a tinted moisturizer.

Also, has anyone tried the "Beauty Blender" -- is it worth the money?

Thanks!!

I use the MUFE mat velvet+ and I love it! I'm asian too but I'm not sure how to classify my skin. I'm assuming combo, since it's dry in certain areas, oily in others. WIth foundation it's best to go into the store or place to actually get a colour match because even if sephora's online descriptions are accurate, I feel like they don't use one scale for all brand's foundations. YKWIM? Kind of like ... comparative to the next shade up or down it can be darker or lighter, as opposed to saying that one shade is exactly the same colour as the other brand's shade. The MUFE mat velvet+ isn't too heavy imo and I can build up the coverage with it

BTW, for MAC studio fix I'm a NC25, MUFE velvet+ I'm a No. 20 (Ivory) and for Bare Minerals Matte I'm a Light.

HTH!

I don't have a Beauty Blender but I have Sonia Kashuk's version and I LOVE it. It's the only thing I use to apply my foundation.

I've been sorely tempted to get the Beauty Blender, but this one works just fine for me and is cheaper.

ETA: Wetting is it key to keep it from absorbing too much foundation.

Thanks for the input!

I was planning on getting matched at Sephora but many of the user ratings said they were matched in the store but later in different light they said the color match was way off. I keep debating whether to chance it and order. The nearest Sephora is an hour and 1/2 away so I don't know when I'll get there.

here, I always use this:

Foundation Matrix – Foundation Color Match, Foundation Makeup

if you know your shade in MAC, you can find what shade you are in pretty much almost all foundations out there. If you don't know your MAC shade, check what you're listed for MAC by scrolling down to the BE section and finding your shade for BE.

for MUFE, I was either a 120 or a 123, I believe and I'm a MAC NC30ish.

Update**
I ordered the MUFE HD foundation in 127 from Sephora and it was PERFECT!! I've only had the chance to wear it a couple times but so far I LOVE it. The feel was smooth and it didn't feel tacky or like I was wearing make up at all. The look was exactly what I was going for which I wanted to even out my skin tone... With my dry skin it looked great and didn't dry it further. It never turned oily/greasy and stayed on for a long time too!
